prescription med question

I have four prescription meds that I take daily. I think when we traveled in 2008 in just counted them out and put them in those little daily dose pill containers rather than take the whole bottles. I was on the TSA website looking at some other stuff yesterday and I read where prescriptions needed to be in their container with a name that matches the passenger. Do I have to carry them on this way and did I just get lucky it wasn't questioned last time?

carry them in the orginal container. that being said im from canada and am not tempting fate when i pass through customs. but on our customs site it says to take them in orginal container with the name etc. and between myself and dd were on about 10 perscriptions. lol they never say a word.

TSA does not require that pills be in their original bottles for domestic flights. It's liquids which much be in their original bottles and they're not subject to the 3.4oz limits (though they do need to be separately declared from other liquids).

Thanks so much for the answer! I knew I hadn't taken the original containers the last time.:goodvibes

I always travel with my meds in the daily boxes. I also have insulin and syringes. TSA has never looked twice at them they don't slow down the xray scanner one bit.

I recently traveled with an Rx medication in a tube the size of tooth paste. I let the TSA agent know this and she asked me to remove it from the carry-on but, again it was a non issue.
