Prepared Thanksgiving Meals

We are staying offsite for the week of Thanksgiving this year and have decided we want to have a traditional Thanksgiving meal at the rental house after a day in the parks. But, I don't want to cook on vacation :D Does anyone have recommendations for restaurants near WDW that do pre-orders for take away Thanksgiving meals? Somewhere that does a smoked or fried turkey and a few sides would be great! I'd prefer to stay away from grocery store meals, but would consider it as a last resort. Thanks!

Boston Market sells "family meals" and usually offers an expanded selection around the holidays. There's one on 192 in Kissimmee and one up closer to Universal.

I'm pretty sure I got last year's Thanksgiving meal from Publix's deli - it was great. They're all over.

Publix supermarkets have prepared holiday meals at competitive prices, and they are VERY good. We often use them even at home! The only thing you need to understand about Thanksgiving is that Publix is CLOSED on Thanksgiving Day, so you have to pick up the day before.

The other one we use at home is Honeybaked Ham. Also excellent, a little more pricey than Publix, but same high quality.

Publix makes some of the best prepared food you can get in the area. I would investigate other options but at least part of the meal is coming from them. Like PP mentioned, they are closed on thanksgiving so you need to get it the day before.

I'm very familiar with Publix; we shop there regularly (in Georgia). We do love their fried & rotisserie chicken, so we'll do that if we don't find a true Thanksgiving meal. Grocery store turkey leaves a lot to be desired, though, even from Publix, and we aren't fans of their side items.

I found a BBQ place, Bubbalou's, that does packaged meals, and also Chef Eddie's. Does anyone have feedback on either of those?

We did the publix meal two years ago. My sister was hosting tday and a day before her whole family got the flu. So, in a pinch we checked out publix and they had one meal left. We all were impressed and thought it was really good. We are big fans of bubbalous on kirkman road. We go at least once in every universal trip. Never did a tday dinner from there though.

Something to mention, many restaurants on property will start to announce if they are doing traditional thanksgiving day meals also. Not sure if you are aware that there might be family options without having to cook on property.. (some have been stupid pricey though) but the last week before the holiday many more join the list.

If it was just our normal crew of 4, we'd definitely do that (we did Boma for Thanksgiving in 2014 and loved it), but since we are paying for extra people (11 total), we are trying to keep costs down. It adds up quickly, especially when it isn't cheap to begin with!
