I have upset kiddos here!
Prep & Landing went missing to make room for presidential address.
Who else is missing it?

My Guide now says it's on next Tuesday in the same time slot, with Charlie Brown still before it. Unless DH set it to record (unlikely) the DVR set itself to record the same shows that had already been set.

Cross your fingers for next week.

My DD is bummed. Just last night ABC advertised it would be on tonight.

I saw a commercial the other night that said it had moved to Dec. 8, but then saw the "behind the scenes" filler on Disney Channel that still had it for tonight (although I knew tonight was out). Yeah, I was bummed when I realized it was getting preempted this week.

We were just talking about this too! It was first advertised as 12/1 and then just the other night (Sunday?) I noticed it said 12/8 in the commercial and at first I thought I got the date wrong and it was confusing. I'm thinking as others have stated it should be on next week and they rescheduled it due to the speech after all the print ad's were released. I'm hoping at least

I have the same info- it was originally scheduled for December 1.
But now the official Disney site says December 8.

Except here in Canada, which is December 12 or something.

We're bummed too. We will be at WDW next week, so we will probably miss it. Do you think they will run it again?

Woohoo, rescheduled next week! Crossing fingers!
Our DVR did not auto reset it usually does... all I know is I turned on the tv to check the airing time and it was gone. Teary eyed kids were staring at me in shock I felt so bad for them. We never noticed the date change on the commerial.

Okay, didn't even realize it wasn't on last night! So I just checked my dish guide and next Tues it's not listed anywhere... I'm assuming it's because it was a last min. thing, I hope!! We leave Friday so I can't check it after then!! I'm hoping they replay it again later in the month or I've set to record EVERYTHING from 7pm to 10pm on abc so maybe the guide will not change and I'll actually catch it!!! How frustrating!

I saw the ad for the 1st as well...but then also thought I saw one on ABC in the last few days that said the 8th. I think they were scrambling to move it because of the address.

OH OKAY...that is what happened. My 4yr old was really wanting to see it so I set it to DVR and I ended up w/ ET recorded. Couldnt figure it out. Confused the crap out of me because it was still saying yesterday morning it was Prep and Landing.

BTW- I am looking at Dec. 8! Totally bummed out!
It looks like our local Dallas station has chosen to air their own christmas program instead of ABC's line up.... Unbelievable! I have the timer set just in case but it looks like we will be missing it here.

You're right. The Dallas local ABC station has decided to air the "GMT After Dark" special instead of Prep & Landing. Their are talking about it on GMT this morning. I'm trying to find if it will be on an alternate channel here in Dallas but I haven't found anything yet.

Just found it. For the Dallas area Prep & Landing will be aired on 12/16 at 7 pm. Thank you Google!!!

Take a look at that station's website and the posting they have for the preemption has all comments turned-off. That is rather funny. I guess they don't want the deluge of complaints. How in the world can you do that? The one time of the year where there are Primetime shows for children and their parents and this station puts on GMT After Dark? I hope that station got plenty of complaint calls.

While I don't live in Dallas and I was able to watch both the classic A Charlie Brown Christmas and Prep and Landing, I have friends in Dallas who are not happy about this.
