My husband and I are currently debating this.
Right now, there is a discount included for campers in the current "save at least 25%" promo they have going.
We had already made and paid for our reservations for late May/early June but my parents are now going to join us at the Fort and stay in a cabin so I was online making reservations for them and noticed the campground was included in the promo and it doesn't include the premium sites. (I believe it's just the campground sites themselves, not as a package, as it certainly didn't reduce my overall charge by $25%!) I had my husband call and ask about the promo and they credited us $204.00 back but it reduced us down from a premium site to a preferred site.
My question is: are the preferred sites really much different than the premium ones? Last time we stayed at the Fort was in 2005 and we had just a 25ft travel trailer then. We now have a 33ft 5th Wheel. Can't remember the loop we were on back then but I know it was a pain just to back in the travel trailer, let alone us backing in the 5th Wheel now.
Are we going to want to pay the extra $204 just for the convenience of a premium site? I'm also assuming since we need a pet site, it will be in loop 300?
