Premium Plan for One Night Just for the Tours, LaNouba, etc.??

I think our plans are all set for our anniversary night in November! I spread some things out so we were not running around like crazy. I wish I could fit in a lunch somewhere, but we do not want to eat a big lunch before V&A and we would be so full before swimming/AS the second day. The only other thing I could do would be a late lunch after Aqua Seas but then dinner would be super late. I think we will just use the credit for a room service breakfast.

Thursday
Check in at Wilderness Lodge
8am-Snack/Mugs
9am-Jet Ski Tour
11am-Parasailing
12pm-Snack
1pm-Horseback Riding
2pm-Pool Time
3:30pm-2 Massages/Sturdy Branches
5:30pm-Victoria and Albert's
8:45pm-Movie by the Pool

Friday
7am-Room Service BF
8am-Rent Bikes to FW?
8:30am-10:30am-Wilderness Back Trail Segway/FW
11am-Snacks @ F&W Booths
12:30pm-3pm-Aqua Seas
3:30pm-Richard Petty?
5:30pm-California Grill
8pm-Wishes Cruise

Bikes and Richard Petty are maybes if we have time. Anyone hear anything about Wild Africa Trek being added to the plans? I would move the Segway tour to Thursday, cancel or move Jet Skis and add the early 8am-11am WAT to Friday so I have planned in case it is added. ;)

Thanks again sarahgirl!

Can anyone else help out w/ info on the time Sea Raycers are due back in?

We're now considering doing the Platinum plan instead of the prem.

Has anyone had any luck doing Dolphins in Depth (9:45am / 3 hrs) and then the Aqua Seas Tour (12:30pm / 2.5-3 hrs) immediately after?

They actually overlap by about 15 min's, but I was hoping since we'd be @ the location already, we could shift over to the Seas Tour from the Dolphins.

Anyone been able to successfully do this?

This is what we have booked for our trip. The lady at IPO told me that they can't start the Seas Aqua tour until everyone from Dolphins in Depth is out of the locker room. You won't be meeting the group at the Epcot entrance, but at the Seas pavillion.
She said to tell the CM when we meet for Dolphins in Depth.

Hope this helps :)

OH, that is soooooo perfect! That's exactly what I was hoping someone would tell me!! :woohoo:

Thanks so much! Maybe I can get my way & go w/ the Plat now!!! :cool1:

:woohoo: Looks like we're gonna do the Platinum now!!

We read reviews on the Dolphins and Seas Aqua tours and everyone instantly wanted to do them.

Now I have to re-plan everything!

Well, I've been reading the thread from the beginning and am up to pg 67.

So far I haven't seen anyone mention cancelled plans due to bad weather.

We will be going @ the end of Sep, during peak hurricane season.

Is there anyone who's gone during this time that had any weather issues?

We plan to do a lot of water/outdoor activities and are beginning to worry about the possibility of our plans getting ruined.

I'm going at the beginning of September and have just about everything except dining and Cirque outdoors. From everything I read, if there are weather related issues, you are out of luck and will just have to find something else. The only exception that I have read about is from Sammy Duvall when people have been rained out. I read somewhere that Sammy Duvall's charged their account that day (while still on the plan) but gave them a voucher to use later on. I wouldn't count on it though. Just have to hope for the best.

Dolphins in Depth followed by Aqua Seas: Yes, definitely. Just did this in July with my best friends Disney73 and Dawn. The staff even allowed and encouraged us to stay in our wetsuits following the Dolphins in Depth tour so that we wouldn't have to change twice! It was also VERY convenient to then go to lunch at the Coral Reef, having our meal on the other side of the window where we had just been SNUBA-ing with all the marine life! (I think our reservation was for 3:20 but we even arrived early.)

It was a blast and the plan for that day worked out flawlessly!!!
Our schedule was:
8:00 am-Spa Services at the Grand Floridian
9:30 am-Dolphins in Depth
Aqua Seas... immediately after and we didn't even have to change out of our wetsuits!
3:20 pm- Lunch at Coral Reef... but got there about 3
Quick trip to Sammy Duvall's (parasailing):rotfl2:
6 pm-Cirque De Soleil...with wind blown hair!:rotfl:
back to hotel to shower and chnange
9:20 pm-California Grill... and it was wonderful to watch Wishes! with our glass of vino!

It was truly one magical day!:goodvibes
If you want to have a more" relaxing" day... just skip Sammy's at 4:30! But then your hair won't look as puffy as ours!:rotfl:

Thanks once again, sarahgirl! Maybe I will try giving them a call about it and see what they say. I called a few days ago for other info and the young man I spoke with was very helpful.

Thanks to both of you for replying! It's always nice to hear from someone who has already had experience witht he situation.
I am glad they suggest staying in the wetsuits! I really don't want to do that part twice!! :scared1:
I was also concerned about making a 3:45 Behind the Seeds tour, but it sounds like we should be good for that too! :thumbsup2

Anyone see the Orlando Sentinel article about the Grand Floridian Spa closing for 18 months beginning mid-September? I wonder if those with existing GF spa reservations will be contacted and rescheduled for one of the other WDW spas? My son and his girlfriend have GF spa reservations in November but they have not been contacted as yet by the IPO about this change.

We have reservations for October and have not been contacted. It's a good thing that we had planned to move them to CSR's spa anyway. Thanks for the heads up!

Maybe my son will want to do the same thing . . . do you know anything specific about the CSR spa? Perhaps that will be easier for my son's reservations anyway because they're staying at Animal Kingdom.

Sorry we have never been to the spa at CSR yet. Do you know that they have a fitness & massage center at AKL too ? Sounds like it would be a lot easier for your son if they are staying there.
This site lists all the services available :

We're scheduled for GF spa services in December. I wonder if they'll have another area of the Grand Floridian set up as a temporary spa. I can't imagine the GF not having spa services for 18 months. I'll call the IPO anyway though.

Hi there! I was just reading over your schedule (which looks like lots of fun, by the way!) and wanted to be sure you know that you can't take a boat directly from WL to GF. You can boat from WL to MK, FW and CR. To boat to GF is going to require a transfer of some sort; either you can boat to MK and take another boat to GF, or boat to CR and take the monorail to GF.

Also, you said you plan to drive and park at CR while you go to MK. You may need to plan to valet park for that; typically you only get a 3-hr parking pass at the resorts to prevent people from parking at the resorts for free and going to a park. Buses will be running for early morning ADRs so you should be able to get a bus to MK.

Hope you have a blast!

I called the IPO and there's not going to be any temporary GF spa set up. She rescheduled us to the Contemporary Spa which I didn't even know existed. I'm sure it's not a big full service type spa like at the GF, but since we can get massages and mani/pedis there, I'm happy. And less travel time for us since we're staying at the CR and will be doing the Sammy Duvall activities that day too. :)
Shawn

Thanks so much for the heads up about the GF spa! I called today and got switched to the Contemporary for our upcoming trip. I also changed my lunch reservations accordingly, and appreciate the heads up instead of waiting until it might have been too late to get the times we need.
