Premium Plan for One Night Just for the Tours, LaNouba, etc.??

Really been enjoying this thread!! Great ideas all around!

Taking a solo trip (no one else wants to go, so I'm going anyway!) Oct 12-18.:cool1: The first night is room only with 25% discount at Pop. The second night is rack rate at Pop with Premium Plan. Nights three thru six is room only with 25% discount at Pop and paying OOP for food. On my first evening I'm going to MNSSHP, so that will be my park ticket for the day. Then I'll get a six-day park hopper with the Premium Plan package to use for the rest of the trip.

OK, so here's what I have scheduled so far for the two premium days:woohoo:

Wed 10/13

7:45-9:45 Segway Around the World
11:30am Lunch @ Tusker House
1:00-4:00 Backstage Safari tour @ AK
6pm Cirque du Soleil
7:50pm Dinner @ Fulton's
9:30pm POR carriage ride
til midnight Epcot EMH

Thurs 10/14

8-9:15am MK EMH
9:30-2:00 KTTK
2:30 parasailing
3:00 pwc rental
3:30 Sea Raycer (this is not scheduled, I'll see how it's going)
5:55 Dinner @ Hollywood Brown Derby
7:30 Fantasmic!
9:00 IROE pref view (hope I can make this!)

COLLAPSE!!

So, what do all you experts think? I know some of my times between events seem a bit short, but I'm hoping being solo, I'll be able to move around fairly quickly.:confused3

If anyone wants to review and give feedback, I sure do appreciate it!:)

Kim

PS We're going to be in Orlando for a wedding in November, and my DD19 and I are taking two extra days for WDW!!!:yay: We're seriously thinking of doing the Premium Plan for that one night/two days, too!:yay: I'll be posting soon with preliminary plans!!

Thanks, everyone.

wdwkimberlee, you have a great plan. Please let us know about your solo trip when you get back!!

Thanks, Matty. I read all about your trip on this thread and your trip report. It looks like you and your family had so much fun! The platinum plan is another really great option!

Also, I loved your pictures! Thanks so much for sharing your experience with everyone here!

Just back from the bet vacation ever:cool1:! Our 1 day premium was a blast. I'm already planning another one. My trip report coming soon.

Thanks a lot, Kim! Did you see our ticker? we are going on July 4th weekend  on the Platinum Plan again:cool1:

I've started my report:cool1:. Go check it out. The link is in my signature. We had the best time ever! I've already started planning a spring break trip with the kids. The only real pointer that I have to share is to make sure you know what is included because most of the CM's that we dealt with didn't. They were all very nice but I think I knew more about the plan than they did (thanks to DIS). Also, make sure you take your confirmation number to Cirque. I took another posters advice on this thread and sure enough they could not find the reservation without that confirmation number and it was nowhere on any of my Disney documentation.:confused3

How about this plan?

Day 1: Magic Kingdom
Crystal Palace Breakfast - 8AM

Keys to the Kingdom Tour- Magic Kingdom - 9:30AM

Spa Treatment at Grand Floridian Spa - Afternoon

Professional photo session at Grand Floridian - Early Evening

Victoria & Albert’s (Grand Floridian) - Evening

Day 2: Epcot
Bass Fishing- 7AM

Dolphins In Depth- Living Seas- Epcot- 9:45AM

Sammy Duvall's for Guided Watercraft Excursion -Afternoon
Parasailing - Deluxe $130/single -Afternoon

Yachtsman Steakhouse (Yacht Club) -Early Evening

Illuminations Fireworks Cruise (departs from Beach/Yacht Club Marina) -9PM

glad that little tip worked for you! That was our group that had to get new seats at Cirque and my fruend Disneyyes who remembered to post about our 1 problem! off to check out your report now...

Do you know if they will allow you to eat at V&A twice if you stay just one night? We want to do both the regular and chef's table.

UPDATED: My travel agent just informed me that 2 dinners at V&A are not possible since they'll both be dinners and under the plan we're allowed only one dinner. :(

As far as I know, your agent is wrong. You get 3 meal credits to use however you want. We're having a 4pm late lunch, 10pm dinner at Portabello, and an 8:30 dinner at Victoria and Alberts the next day.

(My flight leaves in less than 8 hours, too excited to sleep!)

Thank you! I guess there is a lot of misinformation going around. I don't think I'll risk making two reservations at V&A, maybe try Fulton's Crab House.

I am planning to eat at V&A on night one, then the Chef's Table the following night during my next platinum trip. Hate to say it, but all of us here reading the thread, are more knowledgeable than any TA's we know :rolleyes1

I was under impression that chef's table isn't included. Perhaps they allow you to pay the difference. You can eat 2 dinners if you want.

Given 3 meals to use for two days on one-night plan, eating 2 dinners and 1 lunch give you the best bang for the money. With the Platinum plan, you'll be given $125 credit toward the Chef's Table at $200/pp. Now we regretted for eating at the regular dining room last time, because we ended up spending close to $200/pp at the dining room getting extras like the Kobe, wagyu, and the turbot(sp?) The Chef's Table and the Queen Victoria room have no extra charges because you get to try a bit of everything. Now that's what we need :woohoo:

Do you have a Guided Watercraft Excursion reserved? The reason I'm asking is that I'm pretty sure I recall for our July Premium Plan, the Guided Excursion option was only available first thing in the morning. In the afternoon, there was a "free ride" option, but we were only allowed to ride over to a designated area, which was away from any Disney transportation watercraft. Our morning Guided Excursion took us past Discovery Island and over to the Grand Floridian. I would call Sammy's to ask about that - but otherwise, looks like you've got a great plan and I'm sure it will be great fun!

We actually had THREE dinners on our one-night Premium Plan; a 4:00 at Fulton's, then the late show at Hoop-de-Doo, and the next night dinner at Narcoossee's. By the way, we're all on diets now!!!! Not to worry, we'll be back to 'fighting weight' for our upcoming July '11 Platinum Plan!!!

Tricky you :rotfl: I read it somewhere that at Fulton's, even during lunch hours, if you want to order dinner items, you may..:cool1::cool1: I am going to eat dinner during lunch next time.

Counting down the days! Just booked the preferred Wishes viewing spot- does anyone know where we present the voucher for this? Is there some type of a check in podium somewhere?
