Premium Plan for One Night Just for the Tours, LaNouba, etc.??

The 2011 requirement remains the same as this year. There's only a slight increase to the plans, but nothing significant.

Thanks. That's good to know. Do you know the rate pp by chance? I guess I can figure it out but just wondeirng if you knew it. Thanks!

DH is a wonderful golfer, but the experience stops with him. My kids & I are basically beginners. Our family of four (DD10, DS7, DH & myself) will all be taking golf lessons & playing a round of golf on our premium day.

Which golf course should we choose & why? (We don't want the walking course b/c we need to clean up & be ready for 2pm ADRs.) Thanks :flower3:

We had our lessons at Palm/Magnolia Course. The plan covers everything you need to play. I mean EVERYTHING! Since the golf carts are 2-seater, we got to use 2 carts. Our golf pro "Diane" drove her own cart. I don't know when you'll be going, but it is certainly not too early to contact WDW-GOLF to set up the lesson and tee time. I think lesson locations are purely based on your instructor's preference.

Okay, thanks! We will be golfing on Thanksgiving Day. So, do you recommend the Palm/Magnolia for (mostly) beginners?

I think where you'll be playing is strictly based on who will assigned as your instructor on that day. When you call to arrange your lesson and such, they will ask about your expectation from this lesson: better putting....etc.
All their instructors have home-course where they tend to be at most of the day.

Could I do this? We are DVC members. Could I stay on points for a few days at the beginning of the trip. Go to Premium plan for one night in the middle of the trip and go back to points for the end of the trip all without changing rooms or resorts? We usually stay at OKW, maybe BLT.

I am so excited!!! Our girls only trip on Premium Plan for 1 night was such a success that it is now the first annual! :goodvibes Next summer looks like plans are in the works for the Platinum Plan! Right, DisneyYES??? Now I have to go back through the thread and look at all the Platinum itineraries! Can't wait to hear more trip reviews!

Theoretically, yes, but you are at Disney's mercy as far as being in the same room the whole time. There is no way to guarantee it, but usually at the regular resorts they will let you stay in the same room. Also don't forget you will have to pay rack rate for the room for your premium night and if you staying in one of the larger DVC villas that will be pretty pricey.

Quick couple of questions.
We are staying CL for the balance of our nights, can the same IPO handle the Platinum reservations or is there a specific person for the plans?
Will they need a cc# to book anything?

What are the cancelation policies if I over book myself? I don't think I have too ambitious a plan, I actually cut back because I need my DH to enjoy it enough to want to do it again ;) But I did book parasailing both days and I have no idea if we will really want to do it twice.

This *all* we are planing.

9:30 Epcot Segway Tour
12:15 Lunch at Le Cellier
2:15 Parasailing

Early dinner at V&A followed by Wishes Cruise
or
Early La Nouba show followed by late dinner at V&A

Feb 11th

Morning massages around 9am
10:30 Parasailing
Lunch on the run
12:30-3:30 Aqua Tour
Possibly head over to do the Petty Drive Along (or take a break and rest)

Early dinner at V&A followed by Wishes Cruise
or
Early La Nouba show followed by late dinner at V&A

Yes. V&A twice in a row, my DH is anti-seafood and a vegetarian and picky as all get out about noise (he will not go to Cali Grill, for example). After several rounds of 'how about' I gave up and decided to just do V&A twice.

I may throw in a portrait session on whichever night we eat early. Waiting to hear back about the Wishes cruise availability on our nights.

This was our itinerary... I just copied it and pasted it below again...
You can find what I (Dizney73) and my travel friend DisneyYES said about our Premium 1 nighter on page 41 and a few pages here and there after!
We loved it! We even had an extra 1/2 hour or so somewhere here and there. The carriage ride before the Hoop was perfect! We had some relaxing time but were steps away from our dinner show so we knew we would be right on time! What we did would be impossible without a rental car. We were always zipping around! We have all been to Disney so many times we just really wanted to do something cool and different and THAT we did! So next year... Platinum is the ticket! Backstage Magic, Dolphins, massages, V&A's and a fireworks cruise are in our future!
:thumbsup2

I don't think so because there's going to be a break in your reservation. Unless your Premium reservation is a separate reservation from your continuing DVC stay.

Just wanted to make sure you're aware that V&A offers a set menu with few choices (basically a few expensive upcharge items like foie gras or caviar), so you'll probably be eating the same thing two nights running. Since your husband is vegetarian (you have told the restaurant that, right?) it's possible the chef will devise two different veggie menus for him IF he's aware that you're doing back-to-back reservations, but I wouldn't count on it. Most chefs have a limited veggie repertoire.

You probably know that all of the table service restaurants at Disney can accommodate your husband's diet, as long as they are informed in advance. Sounds like the real issue is noise. What about Artist Point? That's usually very quiet. (Anyplace with an open kitchen is going to be noisy, which eliminates Flying Fish, Jiko, CA Grill, Citricos.)

Just a thought.

I love Jiko's little dining room(wine room??) It is much quieter and it has a very good vegetarian choice.

Don't you have to be a group to use that room? I thought it was a private dining room. Maybe they use it as an overflow dining area if it's not booked for a group that night?

Mary

Our party of 4 was seated in a small side room at Jiko's, and we didn't request it or anything. At first I was bummed because I was hoping for a table closer to the windows, but it was very quiet, we had the most amazing (and funny) server, and it all turned out great. I didn't realize the main dining area was noisy. So now I think we got lucky!

Hmm, I have not thought of Artists Point. It is a favorite of a friend of mine. I might have to look over the menu. Almost everywhere we go the Chef's make something off menu for DH.

I might contact V&A and see if they would be willing to try to replicate the main course we had for our wedding. The hitch being while I can describe it, I do not have the recipe and the Chef that created it died last year (my Uncle).

I'm back not and my Internet is working again! I'll working on my trip report but I just wanted to say that the Richard petty is one per RESERVATION, not one per person. I think you got a little pixie dust, symans. I'm interested in maybe using my preferred fireworks viewing cards too, but I noticed that though they don't expire until 1/11, they say they must be booked by the platinum ipo?

Hi arilvdc, welcome back or not :lmao:
We didn't even notice that the Richard Petty card wording. When we got to the place, we simply showed our card and all 3 of us got to ride with no questions asked. Did they tell you that only one person can do it at the Richard Petty? So sorry that you didn't get to ride the Nascar!! However, we weren't that "thrill" with the ride. We will try the Indy Experience next time
