Premium Plan for One Night Just for the Tours, LaNouba, etc.??

The premium package includes all the tours you have time to take while you're on the plan.

I just verified it with the copy of the brochure of the package which can be downloaded from disney.com.

I received my confirmation in the mail for my Premium Plan. It says that one tour per person is included!! Here is what the brochure says (in part):

Discover
the Walt Disney World® Resort
as you have never imagined!
You may arrange as many tours as
you like throughout your package
stay. Advance reservations are
required.

I have already reserved 2 tours and told them I had Premium. I used a credit card as a guarantee. I am wondering if I should call... And if so, who?

I think this is WDW's way of saying that no one can do/charge the same tour twice at the same time. Like in a case where guest(w/DDP) is NOT allow to use their DDP credit to pay for other guest's meal. The all-you-can-do tours inclusions are quite tempting for abuse!! JMO

Well, i'm all booked for my one night/two day adventure on the platinum plan at AKL, followed by 8 nights on DDP! The only day it would make sense for us to be able to do the platinum is our first night (9/24). Our flight arrives at 930am so we figure to hopefully get started by noon! We were so excited to know we were finally going to see La Nouba, then noticed that entire week (sept. 21-25) there are no performances :guilty:

I think I read here people suggesting not to book on 'dark' days because you would not be able to see the show. Well, I spoke with a cast member asking about being on the package during nights there are no shows. They talked with guest services and told me we would be given a disney gift card at check in with the amount the tickets would cost on it! So i figure instead of waiting until we arrive to buy tickets, we will buy them now to ensure we get good seats. Then we can just use our gift cards to cover some tips the rest of the trip. Now I just need to figure out a plan for exactly what and when we are going to do things on the amazing start to this upcoming trip!

Being able to catch La Nouba a different night helps open up some time, but I know we definitely are interested in the massages, aqua seas tour and/or backstage safari, one of the segway tours, illuminations cruise, and V&As. I'd also love to try parasailing. My friend, not so much!

Seriously???? ;) Is that policy or did they do you a special favor? Because I was looking at a Sun/Mon in November for 1night on the premium pkg, then realized Cirque is probably dark on Sundays. Maybe they did it b/c you are platinum? That's awesome, though! :thumbsup2

I think it may be policy because I only said when inquiring that I was interested in booking a platinum package but the dates I would be there, La Nouba would be dark. So i'm not really sure if it's policy, unique to platinum, or bad information! When I call to start making the other reservations for the trip, i'm going to ask again to be sure. I'd love to hear if anyone else has received the same answer that I did.

please keep us posted on what they say, this is very interesting!

I booked on the platinum plan last May for a week and La Nouba was dark the entire time. I was given gift checks as well.

That would be awesome, we are booked Platinum pkg on a Sunday night which means we won't be able to see La Nouba. Could you use the gift cards for anything? Like souvenirs?

It was a regular gift card that could be used for anything.

However, I'm thinking that if they get a rash of 1 night Sunday bookings, this courtesy will end.

Yes, it seems like something that makes more sense for them to do when the show is dark for an entire week anyway. I could definitely seem them raising an eyebrow at the Sunday night only bookings.

Does anyone know the price difference between 1 night premium moderate & 1 night platinum moderate? Thanks :goodvibes

per mousesavesr the premium plan is $164 per adult per night and $114 per child/night. Platinum is $220 adult and $155 child. However Platinum requires you to stay deluxe (and pay full price or close to it for the room) so that is a significant extra expense. Premium can be booked at any resort level but again you must pay rack rate (only discount available is AAA). Both plans require the purchase of at least a 1-day park ticket.

We booked on a Sunday as it was what was convenient. Also, we've already seen LaNouba twice so we figured we didn't need to see it again, but it would be nice if they gave us a gift card at check in.

Whoa  Thank you! We will definitely stick w/ premium. :upsidedow

I just booked a premium plan 1 night package (I can't wait to go now. This is going to be so fun to plan this all out) and was wondering what do you do for LaNouba--do you call in and reserve a seat? Don't they charge you when you do that? How do you handle this?

Congrats on your upcoming Premium trip:banana:
You can call WDW Recreation directly! I believe the number is WDW-PLAY. The CM at WDW Play can book all of your ADR's(including any tours, La Nouba ticket, and dining too!!) The Cm will ask for your reservation number to reflect your premium plan inclusions. I was not asked to give my CC to guarantee my La Nouba tickets. However, a CC guarantee was needed for our "Segway" Tour. No big deal!! :thumbsup2
Be sure to have the Cirque's website open with the seating chart in front of you when calling for the tickets!! The CM is going to tell you what seats are available for your show date/time. Good Luck :yay:

MANY tours - and some restaurants - require a CC that will not be charged UNLESS you do not show up for and/or cancel the ressie within a certain time frame - most require 48 hours cancellation notice.

Some we had to secure for this trip: Segway @ FW, Magic of Steam Trains @ MK, Wild by Design @ AK, and California Grill @ Contemporary. Of course, you are ALWAYS asked for CC @ any Castle meal and HDDR.

Well here's my tentative plan:

Friday
Flight arrives 9:38a
(now the scariest part of the trip, hoping we can pull this one off)
Get to AKL, check in, get our package items
Lunch at Rainforest cafe at AK 1130a (figure if delayed at airport or checking in can cancel and just grab QS)
Backstage safari 1p
Massages
Portrait session (hopefully can still get these two around 5-6pm)
Wishes Fireworks cruise
Fultons 1030p

Sat
Get up early, head to POP to get new passes for next reservation since will need admission for...
830a EPCOT segway tour
12p lunch at The Wave
2p parasailing and other watersports
may head to FW for horseback riding if time afterwards
830p V&As

then some much needed sleep.

I have my tour and dining reservations done. Still need to work out the rest. I'm thinking if Saturday is bad weather, may try seeing if the 1230p aqua seas tour still has any openings.

I'm planning on booking 1 night platinum plan after reading your wonderful comments.

My only problem is I've already paid for my entire stay since I rented points. I was thinking on our second night to book a 1 night platinum package, but keep our other room at AKV. Could this work?

We're arriving on Thursday November 11th and will check in around 2:30pm. I wasn't planning on going to any park that day. Just a late dinner at Ohana and maybe DTD before.

Then I could book 1 night at the WL our 2nd day Friday November 12th with 8 day tickets(since I don't have tickets yet for the rest of our stay) and the platinum plan. Is this doable? I would leave most of my things at AKV, but maybe just pack an overnight bag and stay that night at WL. Will I be able to use the rest of the ticket days even if I only have 1 night at the WL booked, but the remainder will be at AKV?

Then for our first day we could do

Get to WL to check in early to get our tickets. Not expecting our room to be ready.
then head to Epcot and do
-Around the world segway tour
-Aqua Seas tour
-Le cellier late lunch at 3:30pm
-head back to Epcot for the illuminations cruise
-then get to DTD for Fulton's at 10:30pm

The second day:

-check out WL and bring stuff back to AKV
-FW segway tour
-horseback riding
-archery
-CS lunch
-then massage at GF
-then V&A for earliest dinner seating
-then wishes fireworks cruise

Is all this doable?

I think for the most part is sounds doable. I have a couple of things to think about for you:

Unless you are really wanting to spend the one night at Wilderness Lodge, you might want to consider doing the cheapest room category at AKL, you'd be closer to your room you'd be going back to, and I *think* it's cheaper than Wl? (could be wrong about that).

Also again, not sure, but I think you are only entitled to one fireworks cruise per stay on Platinum. Check the brochure PDF to be sure.

Make sure your CS lunch on the second day is light and early! You definitely don't want to be full for V&A at 5.
