Has Disney ever offered discounts that involve the premium dining plan in August? Trying to get the best bang for our buck for our Honeymoon. Aug 2016 is our 5th visit so we've done a lot of "park stuff" and the premium plan includes a lot of things that we have always wanted to do. We plan on golfing every day too! Just want to know if it is ever included in discounts.

Thanks!

I do not recall any specials that specifically included the Premium Dining Plan. In the past you could not book a free dining special offer and upgrade the free plan to the Premium or Platinum Plans. On the other hand, it has been possible to add a paid dining plan to a MYW package that included a room rate discount so maybe that can also be done with the Premium Plan. :confused3

First off - congratulations! :goodvibes

Unfortunately, no discounts. Disney offers these packages as a type of bundled discount - room, tickets, DlxDP, and various activies and unlimited recreation for one price.

We used to be able to book the Prem/Plat plans for (1) night, which was a great deal to use over the course of (2) days, but the minimum is now (3) nights. However, you can STILL get a great bang for your buck with these packages if you plan them right. That's (4) full days of activities. And since it's your honeymoon, I highly recommend the Platinum which includes the upgraded features of V&A, massages, and a fireworks cruise.

Again, no. The Prem/Plat cannot be booked in conjunction with any discounted room rates, nor can they booked as a ticketless package. Much like FD the requirement is (3) night at rack rate and (1) day base ticket.

Never
This September was our 4th premium plan trip. DH fished 16 days! Lol

...I've seen your posts on the restaurant board regarding sharing DlxDP credits with friends/family - did you switch from FD to the Premium Plan?

The gratuity alone on those 16 days of fishing excursions...

We have done the platinum plan many times and have never been able to use any type of discount. Don't let that deter you...it's your HONEYMOON!!! You won't regret it, it makes for a fabulous trip! One important thing to remember, though, is to plan your trip. If you want to fly by the seat of your pants don't spend all that money. Plan your restaurants, tours, etc out. The platinum planner can make all the reservations for you but even though they can do that still give them all the information as early as possible. Get the most bang for your buck too.....eat at the signatures, definitely enjoy Victoria & Alberts (we usually go twice), if you golf take advantage of the world class courses, take a pontoon boat out, parasail, do the backstage tour....did I mention V & A???? LOL. Seriously, it will be a magical trip!
