I just realized that it may be more financially advantagous to buy premium AP than 11 night UPH, it costs basically the same amt and we are going back in April!! I am curious though, what other advantages are there to being an AP holder???

There are various discounts - I'm not really familiar with any of them - BUT I do know they offer room discounts at various times of the year....if I'm not mistaken (someone correct me if I'm wrong) it can be as much as 40-45% off rack rate.

wdw or bust is right! we ended up buying pap's for our honeymoon and ended up also saving almost $2000 on our room reservation at the beach club by getting an ap room rate. :D

If you are going to be there 8 nights or more, the AP makes more sense than any other ticket medium.

There are some discounts associated with the AP...another poster made reference to a link, so I won't repeat that.

The price difference between a regular AP(4 parks only) and the PAP(4 parks + PI and water parks) is about $120, I think. Look at the admission price to PI and water parks...if you don't think you're going to do $120 worth of admission to any of those "extra" places, it might behoove you to think about a regular AP and then purchase day admits for PI/water parks.

DH and I are not big PI people...we usually go once on a trip, maybe twice at the most, so we just purchase a one time admission when we get to PI. We generally don't go to the water parks, because we are there usually in the cooler months when either BB or TL is closed for rehab, and the weather is not atrociously hot, so the hotel pool works fine for us.

The breakeven between Unlimited Magic and Premium Annual Pass is 14 days for a single trip or ten days for two trips to WDW.

Room discounts and other benefts are the same for both regular and premium AP's.

The decision between a regular vs. a premium AP should be based on expected use of Disney Quest (included also), water parks, and PI as opposed to number of days to break even with other kinds of passes. The $120. usage mentioned earlier is about right. For all intents and purposes, multiple visits to PI within 6 days count as one admission since most of the time you can get five more consecutive nights for five more dollars when you buy a single admission to PI.

Next trip Nov. '03 hopefully. Have PAP from 1/03.
