Can you upgrade your tickets to PAP once you arrive at the resort? We have 5 day passes and are considering giving up bowling once a week for PAP passes. I just don't understand the concept yet. What do you get besides year-round access? Can you make payments or do you have to pay for it all up front? I see the option on the Disney website for a down payment and monthly payments, but if I'm on site and upgrading (if it's possible) do they have the capability to do that too? I'm full of questions. I live in Northern CA and just think it would be a great option for us. As always thanks in advance for your help!

Yes, you can upgrade your tickets to PAP at the resort and use the tickets as a down payment and do the monthly payments if you are a CA resident.

The benefits are year round access as you mentioned, plus discounts on merchandise and food. The merchandise discount is 20% right now and the food discount is 15%. There is also a 10% discount on media stuff (which is the ride photos, dvds, cds, etc.). There are also discounts for on-site hotels and tours. Also, don't forget free parking at Mickey and Friends and the Toy Story Lot.

If you are sure you want to upgrade, you may want to upgrade sooner rather than later, due to the discounts. However, remember to use your Magic Morning before upgrading. Have fun!

Good point! I can use my MM the first day and then upgrade. We're going to do it for sure! I'm a disney addict. My husband is totally in, so we're good!
