What resort would you like to see active incentives for?

Larger incentives for VDH
I keep looking at this. But the combo of room tax plus higher MFs keeps making this a dealbreaker for me. The cost of the TOT plus MF is about $13 per point per year, assuming you used your points to stay at VDH. That is higher than the yearly fees at Hilton Head and slightly lower than Vero Beach. And just like MFs, the TOT can go up every year. It is set to go up 3% at the end of the year. The upfront incentives would need to be really good to get me over this ongoing cost issue.

Ive done the math backwards and forwards and it's not as bad as many think it is when you calculate the up front cost vs the upfront cost of VGC. Yes it's more if you exclusively stay at VDH and pay TOT but not drastically when you also factor in that VDH has alot more life left on the contract. To add to that there are times of the year where the VDH point chart is much lower than VGC and you pay more in dues on the extra points it takes at VGC vs paying the TOT at VDH.

The issue I have with it too is there are a lot of good neighbor hotels that are actually closer walking distance to the DL entrance than DL hotel is. With Grand Cal at least you can argue that you have the entrance directly Into DCA. With the decreasing perks of staying on property it's harder to justify.

This combined with the loss of early entry is really hard. Honestly, what is the perk of staying onsite at DL now? Specifically Pixar Place and DLH? Maybe if/when DL Forward happens, but right now? I feel bad for the CA guides 🙈

I was lucky to get a VGC one-bedroom after people walked past dates that worked for me, but my backup plan was the Westin since it will be after 1/5/26 💔

I have no complaints about GC. It is the nicest DVC resort in either Anaheim or Florida--i.e. near a park. Personally I'd put Poly in the #2 spot. But on the #2 spot, I'm open to others' opinions. :)

I really do like VGC even though I've never stayed there, only been there as a visitor multiple times but I wish their room refurb was better. I refuse to believe they think those couches can last another 14 years 😭. Out of curiosity how many points do you own? Honestly if I were you I'd be tempted to buy like 25 points at VGF and complete the monorail trifecta LOL

Just over 1,000. I love going to VGF at Christmas, seeing the gingerbread house. But the vibe of VGF is not for me. Poly is fabulous, with its open spaces, restaurants, bars, and tiki theme. BLT has it's shortcomings (pool, lobby, lack of restaurants, etc.) but it's pretty nice to sit on the balcony and look out over Bay Lake, also the five minute walk to the MK. And if I had to pick, I'd rather stay at Poly or BLT over VGF. But to each his own.

Oh I agree, I prefer Poly and BLT to VGF personally. VGF has a beautiful lobby but its just not our vibe. We did a BLT christmas stay a couple years back and absolutely loved it. Would definitely have no problems whatsoever using our resale points on lake view BLT at anytime of the year. Its just so convenient and the refurb they just did makes it even better.

Which couches are you talking about? In the Grand Villas? I think all the couches in the other rooms were replaced with murphy beds.

I haven't stayed at any of those. But for me...I'm all about Wilderness Lodge. The vibe there is so relaxing to me.
