My family of 5 is headed to DLP for 1 day on Mon Aug 6. 1 day is all we could spare on our Paris vacation.
Just looked, Disney 2 Park tickets add up to almost 600 Euro, Premier Access Ultimate is another 700 Euro.
Yikes, never realized the Premier Access Ultimate would cost more than the Disneyland tickets.

We are not staying at a Disney hotel, will be taking the RER in from Paris for opening at 9:30am. Will probably stay until close to park closing.
Was lucky enough to book Bistrot Chez Remy for an early dinner (late lunch on the reservation system).

Would appreciate comments on whether or not you think we should purchase Premier Access Ultimate. How busy will Monday Aug 6 be? Do you think Disney might sell out fo Premier Access Ultimate beforehand? Is it difficult to purchase a la carte Premier Access for everything we want to ride?
700 Euro is a lot of money but we can do it. We do like rides and if not having it means lining up 1.5 hours for Big Thunder Mountain then we probably need to buy it. We would probably want to ride most of the 12 rides covered by the Premier Access and have plenty of time to roam around the parks.
I am semi resigned to having to pay the 700 Euro to ensure we have a feature packed 1 day but would love to hear what the experts here have to say.

Seems like Paris will be really busy this summer as travel has really opened up.

By the way, Mom doesn't like some rides, would one of our kids be able to use her pass and go on that ride for a 2nd round at that ride?

Thank You!!

August 6 is a Saturday. Do you mean August 1 or 8?
It won't matter much, but a Monday is still better than a Saturday, even in Summer peak time. It's Summer holiday in Europe, and at this time, all regions in France are off in August. It'll be busy.

The thing is, the Premier Access passes are not even a year old and the Ultimate version was only introduced last week. So, there is not a lot of information out yet. Someone else reported last week that the Ultimate wasn't available. If you have made the decision to do it, I would buy it right away. Especially if rides are your priority.
It will definitely help to maximise your time. Is this a once-in-a-lifetime-trip or do you expect to be back anytime soon?

I checked the website: No, your mom cannot give her ride to someone else. It's a personalized pass.

Surprisingly: you have a max of buying 12 Ultimate passes per person. I don't think it's even physically possible to ride all 12 rides 12 times. Except when you maybe did all 12 times in a row. :D

Oops, yes Mon Aug 8.
Yes, essentially a once in a lifetime trip. Family has had plenty of Disney trips in USA but never been to Paris. Except me early in the Euro Disney days. We probably don't need to go on all 12 rides included with the Ultimate pass but I figure if we even want to go on 8 of these then waiting 30-45 mins each will just be a bad use of time with the goal of 'soaking in' the Disneyland Paris experience in 1 feature packed day.

I'm not familiar with the regular Premier One passes. Would it be challenging for us to buy them a la carte during the day? Then again, the price would add up to a similar amount and having the convenience of hitting the rides when we want is probably very worthwhile.

I was thinking I would be buying the Premier Ultimate but mostly wanted to check if someone might say "don't bother, you will be able to accomplish everything easily just lining up with the odd Premier One pass".

Any idea how long the line ups will be during that day for the top rides? Just a rough idea. I'm familiar with the USA parks easily being 45 mins to an hour, or more easily on peak days.

Thanks

Like I said, the pass is only introduced last August. The first few months for sure the a la carte passes didn't sell out as not a lot of people knew about it. Besides DLP still was at limited capacity. There is not a good educated guess to make, besides: It might sell out.
I personally do not think it will, but it might. The prices of buying the rides all separately is not that much more than the Ultimate.

The passes have a better value for people not staying onsite and only being there for 1 day. Most included rides are open during EMH and you are behind of the hotel guests once you arrive.
If you stayed onsite for 1 night, and could spread it over 2 days, and can use EMH, then the only one really worth it is Crush Coaster. Top rides like Crush and BTM can easily go into 3 figure waiting times during peak times.

If you have the money, in your situation, I would say go for it. Your late lunch/dinner at Remy can easily take 1,5 - 2 hours out of your schedule, so with buying the Ultimate passes, you can have a relaxed day and accomplish a lot.

Oh, forgot to add. You can download the app already and once in a while check waiting times and of course the lay out of the park.

Have fun!

(I had a check, 3 adults, 2 kids in the cheapest hotel on this date would cost 1.300 EUR anyway, so even if you did a stay with your group and could spread it, you would probably spend around the same amount of money)

We are in the same boat. Our one day will probably be a Sunday in August. I am considering buying the Ultimate pass. It will be at the end of a two week trip all over Europe so we will be pretty tired and may not be up to dealing with lines. On the other hand we may just want to soak up the atmosphere and ride a few rides. I don’t know the cost on a Sunday. I hope to hear some reviews.
