I thought this was the place to ask. I am uncrafty, I dont just say that so people will say, "oh no you can do it". I really am. I don't have the talent or the patience. I just can't do scrapbooking. I tried but my pages came out terrible. I didnt get the craft gene. I just dont have it at all!!!! My daughter received a beautiful gift of a pre-made scrapbook for her H.S. Sports photos. The pages are all pre-made. My MIL bought it at a craft fair and the lady made it in her school colors with her school team name is in it and everything. Unfortunatly the lady moved. I was wondering if anyone here knew of a place to buy something like that? I have seen a few pre-made pages but not a full book. Anyone? I did a quick Ebay search. I would like to fill a book for her "boyfriend" who is a great kid but whose parents cannot make it to many of his games due to jobs etc. I thought for Christmas we could give him the album full of the photos we have taken and he can share it with his family...........I would love for it to be really nice for him instead of me just putting the photos in a photo album and giving them to him this way...anyone?? Thanks so much for helping a Handicapped crafter!!!!

How about checking with a local scrapbooking and/or craft store? They may have a directory of folks you can call or maybe they have a bulletin board for people to advertise their crafts for sale? Good luck......................P

If you don't mind me asking, what did that lady charge for her books?
How many pages were in it?
What size were the pages?
Your answers would be very helpful to me. TIA

I've been working on a bunch of handmade greeting cards and premade scrapbook pages to sell at our church's craft fair next month. I was going to put a few baby scrapbooks together for this (thinking they'd be a popular item), but when I started to figure what to charge, I was very unsure. They are 8x8 scrapbooks with 20 pages in them (8 double page layouts with a single first and last page). Even if I charge $5 a page, that would be $100. I'm worried that people would think I was out of my mind. Even at that price, I'd be working for practically nothing. Is it even worth it?

Thanks in advance for any help you could give.

You should be able to find some of these services available on ebay. Lots of them will do custom work, some even will ask you to send the picture files (if digital) and journalling to them and they will incorporate for you. PM me if you would like help searching for this. I know of a few offhand, but they specialize in Disney books only.

I also think the idea of going to your Local Scrapbook Store (LSS) is a good idea as a lot of the people who work at mine are scrappers as well and would probably be willing to do this for a customer as an asside. Also the LSS should have some cute elements for your local schools.

Can you simplify your books/pages at all? There is a LSS here that has a class for an 8x8 with 20 pages made for $40. I have taken these classes 3 times and paid that willingly. I would probably be willing to pay $50-$60 for a done one if I wasn't crafty... But not likely $100 esp if it was at a craft show...

:goodvibes Have you tried Close to my Heart (CTMH)? The do nice albums and you can get pages already printed with the spaces for photos - you can just stick the photos in or, as you build up confidence, embellish them a little. And your consultant will help if you get stuck! I only get the stamps because I don't ant to be constrained by a layout, but that might solve your problem at a better price than getting someone to do the stuff for you (especially if you hold a gathering and get stuff at a discount or free :goodvibes )

I'll second (third?) the suggestion to check with your LSS. Mine does custom books.

HSN (Home Shopping Network) was advertising a scrapbook by the numbers. If you really want to try yourself that might be an option. All the paper, borders, embleshments, stickers, journaling are coordinated and numbered with at picture of the finished layout.

CM has new quick books. Everything is coordinated and a snap to make the scrapbook.
