Premade Iced Coffee

Tha
Can you tell me more about this? Cold brew is the only kind of coffee I like. I looked up how to make it yourself but it sounds like you need course-ground beans (and a lot of them) and a decent coffee grinder alone would be pretty expensive. Can you do it with store-bought coffee grounds? I am definitely not "in the know" when it comes to various coffee types/apparatus.

I currently buy the Stok black cold brew in the 48oz bottle (and go through one bottle a week, so it's probably still more economical for me just to buy it). The Stok black just has "coffee, water, and natural flavor." I add my own homemade creamer.
Thats what I used to buy but my kids drink too much of it. Every 2 days we cold brew a 12 ounce can of regular ground coffee (not fine) overnight. This week I stocked up on $1 cans, so 50 cents a day. It’s much better than the Stok, I’m a half and half no sugar drinker, my daughter likes her creamer/almond milk, although she prefers oat milk but that’s more calories.

ICK. I am a New England girl, grew up on iced coffee. My mom didn't use leftover breakfast coffee for iced; we'd brew a pot specifically for iced coffee and keep it in the fridge. Cold coffee over ice, with a touch of half-n-half... delightful! Fresh coffee every day for the iced coffee carafe! There is no way I'd touch the pre-sweetened, processed stuff they sell in bottles- UGH.

I buy the coffee concentrate at Trader Joes (Publix has it, too) - it's just coffee and water :confused3 $7.99 for 32oz and I usually do 2:1 so it lasts a week or so. I drink a lot of iced coffee... ends up being $1 or less for a Trenta sized coffee each day.

In a pinch, I'll pick up the Starbucks unsweetened iced coffee - it's more expensive since it's ready to drink but I can grab it at Target. It's just brewed coffee and ascorbic acid.

Sure, I could (and have) make my own but the TJ's concentrate works great for me.

I drink iced coffee year round. I make my own. If I am on a road trip or staying in a hotel, I will buy a bottle because it's easier. Every once in long while, I will buy a bottle at home if I feel like a break from making my own.

I LOVE the Trader Joe’s concentrate. It is probably the best tasting store bought one we have had.

I just made my own cold brew for the first time last night. I bought a little 2 liter jug with a strainer inside and a little spout on the bottom. I'm actually shocked at how well it turned out. It does use a good bit of coffee to make it, but it's only me and I tend to not go through a bag of coffee fast enough before it starts going stale so this might be a good thing.

I have never tried this stuff, I only heard of it just recently. I must say I am intrigued and really want to try it.

If I buy premade I buy the Starbucks Unsweetened. I prefer unflavored coffee and to add in my own sweetener or dairy and it's the right 'strength' for me to just pour and go. I will grab the occasional individual bottle of pre doctored coffee but that's rare and usually a case of being on the go and it's the quickest and easiest option.

I recently bought a thing called a Rumble Jar (instagram ads LOLOL). It actually works really well and I now just buy some coarse ground coffee and make my own cold brew.

I do have a bottle of the Walmart shelf stable coldbrew in the cabinet for emergencies. Or I just make a kcup of warm coffee but I prefer my caffeine cold.
