PreLit Tree Lights Burned Out

We have used up all the replacement bulbs for our prelit tree so we took a strand of extra lights and started to replace them but they must be the wrong wattage, they fit, but light and then burn out. Has anyone bought replacement bulbs for their prelit trees and are they different?

I haven't but I would call the manufacturer and ask what type of replacement bulbs you would need for the tree. Explain to them what happened --- it may not be the bulbs; it could be the wiring.

My husbands and engineer and we know its not the wiring its the lights, just don't have enough replacement bulbs. Here's the problem I don't know who the manufacture is (just had a thought maybe a tag on the tree has it) but did a google search and it does not look good may have to replace that strand this year ourselves not looking like you can get the bulbs.
