Pregnant at DL

I rode it pregnant (no problems) and yes nursed many times on it as well!

Maybe it's why my kids have never been afraid of dark rides....:lmao:

But I definitely stayed away from the "warning" rides too, and mainly did Fantasyland etc. I did have many, many people stop me on one visit 1 month before my due date with DS (I was huge) and tell me that going on the rides would make me go into labor! To which I replied, "Please!!!! Let's hope so!"

So just be prepared for people to make comments about you riding Peter Pan haha!!!!

yeah...i heard peter pan is a sure-fire labor inducer! :rotfl:
and i thought that I was paranoid!! haha.
that's pretty awesome.

I went on POC preggo and have nursed many times on it as well :)

However, I was at DL when I found out I was Preggo with my first and I was SUPER paranoid b/c it took us so long to get pregnant. I didn't go on ANYTHING!! After I talked to my doc I calmed down a lot and have gone on everything w/o a warning sign.

Like everyone else said, if you have a check in your heart, then don't go. Have fun and congrats!!

Did you know you were pregnant when you planned this trip?

Please don't take it the wrong way and if it's too personal don't answer...

I am going in 6 weeks and surprise... I may be pregnant. I won't know for a few days but I'm bracing myself for a change in plans already.

I was one of those paranoid types when pregnant. We didn't even go to DL that year. But granted I was on bed rest for several weeks in the beginning, that made me a bit more cautious I think.

In any case, I think asking your doctor was good. That's the nice thing about DL there are a lot of mild rides you can enjoy. Have fun!

I was pregnant on both trips to DL. I'm always pregnant, it seems. The first time I was in my 2nd trimester. I didn't ride any rollercoasters. I did ride Indiana Jones. It wasn't until right before I boarded the ride that I saw the sign discouraging pregnant riders. I was a little nervous, but didn't know where to go (there was a huge line) and was truly surprised. The second time was in October, and I was just barely pregnant. I rode on everything, including the waterslide at the hotel. The castmembers said whatever I was comfortable with. They said they see lots of huge pregnant people riding rollercoasters (which they discourage) but they can't say anything about.

Disney doesn't really care if you go on any of their ride while preggers. They'll even help you with the lap bar and/or restraints. They've posted their warnings so it doesn't matter if you miscarry since they're legally covered. It's up to you at that point. If the risk of losing your baby isn't a big deal to you, take comfort in knowing that there have not been any reported miscarriages yet due to a Disneyland ride.

It's kind of like those wet floor signs. If you walk near it and slip it's your own fault for not paying attention to their warning signs. You can try to sue but don't expect anything except a countersuit for their legal fees.

Not taken the wrong way. Yes, I knew I was pregnant when we planned. I am in my 2nd trimester, so there's not a huge fear of miscarriage, or of going into labor, but I also want to be careful, while still being able to enjoy myself. I have had 2 miscarriages in the past, so I'm not in denial that it could happen to me.

Also we are going with my 2 yo and 5 yo, so we weren't planning to go on big rides like Space Mountain, Indiana Jones, etc. My thought was more along the lines of will I be able to go on rides with the kids or not.

I don't think you should really have any problems on any of the rides with your kids. Just try to avoid all the super jerky rides and whatnot. But you can pretty much do all of Fantasyland. And the Haunted Mansion. Buzz Lightyear. Etc. Have fun! And congrats on the soon-to-be new member of the family!

Thanks Mrs. Bee! :goodvibes
