Pregnancy Board!!

Sometimes I feel scared to even attempt getting pregnant again, but we are healing and I know we will want to add to our family eventually. .

Big hugs to you. I know this feeling all too well as I lost a baby at 14 weeks, 3 years ago January. I think about him at this time of year & when his due date was.

I was also scared to get pregnant again, but I did & we now have a 16 mth old in addition to our 4.5 year old.

Take the time you need to grieve. You are not alone in this pain.

Hi!!! I just found this thread :-)

I am 15 weeks pregnant with my second. I also have a 2.5 year old daughter. We are hoping for a boy but as long as baby is healthy we will be happy! It was a rough 1st trimester with lots of nausea but since we entered the 2nd trimester, I've been feeling a lot better.

Last week we returned from our last WDW trip with just the 3 of us. There, we took pics of DD in a big sister shirt to make the announcement to all our friends and distant family! We also took a pic of my belly with the We're Celebrating pin with "Baby #2" written on it. It was the perfect way to do the big reveal :-)

Congrats to everyone expecting! :) I went to Disney when I was 8wks pg with #2 and it was so special. We go back in 1 week for our first Christmas time trip and they are now 5yo and 2yo. Just wanted to share (hope it is okay) that I am a fertility RN and women's health nurse specializing in high-risk pregnancy and trying-to-conceive. My site is www.MOMtility.com. On Twitter, I'm @MOMtility and on FB as well.
Best of luck to everyone :)

9 weeks right now with our first! First Dr appt next week :)

Hi everyone!! Just found this thread. I am 9 1/2 weeks with my 3rd child. We are very excited! We are going in May so we can get a trip in for the year before I have the new baby. We are very excited but I am a bit nervous about going to WDW while pregnant since I have not done that before. Any tips? Best of luck to all on this thread!! :)

:cheer2: Congratulations!

We went in April while I was about 22 weeks along with my 4th. The biggest thing for me was I needed to eat a lot more than I thought - and a lot more often. Waiting in line at Maurice's Cottage was the worst - I was in direct sun for over 45 min - so if there's a big line/long wait either ask them to direct the line into the shade, or skip it. (I didn't realize they could change the line until after I passed out  apparently they realized how bad it was at that point b/c they quickly got everyone else out of the sun).

I LOVED our afternoon swim! :cloud9: we left the parks by about 3 each day and went for a nap and a swim then dinner and early bed. Then rope drop each day. It was our best trip yet, even if it was too short for me.

Have fun!

Wow, I just rediscovered this thread in my subscriptions list. I was one of the original posters way back on page 1! Can't believe it's been over two years since this was started. It's fun to reread and go back down memory lane!

Our "baby", Brynn, that I posted about on this thread will be turning two on February 2 already. She is just the most joyful, sunny little girl and the light of our lives (along with her sisters of course!). She was a surprise, but a wonderful surprise.

I'm pretty sure we are done having babies, but part of me wants one more. We have three girls, and would love to try for that boy of course. But...three is about what we can handle, plus, I'm not getting any younger (just turned 36). I'm giving myself to age 38 to decide!

Congratulations and good luck to all you recent mom's to be and hello to any of the "oldies" who may still be checking in here! :)

Well... It doesn't seem as if this board is very active anymore, but if anyone would like to rejoin, I would be eternally grateful!!!!! After 5 years and 3 rounds of clomid, I have gotten 3 positive test!!!! DH and I are freaking out just a little:)

Congratulations! I'm due in 9 days, so just a wee bit ahead of you ;)

Just discovered this thread. I'm now 25 weeks pregnant with our first baby (a boy) after a miscarriage at 9 weeks last summer. We're SOOOOO thrilled to have this little guy on the way!

We're heading to Disney in October, when he'll be around 8 weeks old. It's an 11 nighter in a 1 bedroom at BLT - I wanted to stay on the monorail so it's easier to get to MK and EPCOT as those are our fav places to dine. My mom is going to join us, as having three adults to one baby ratio sounds like it'll work out better than a 2 to 1!

Very excited for both the baby to arrive and our trip. I'm going to the gym every day so that I stay active, as I think it'll help me to bounce back fairly quickly.

I didn't know this board existed either! Im 16 wks always tired and dizzy and headed to Disney in 4 wks!

oh no!!! Hope your energy comes back and the dizziness goes away before your trip!!!

The only people who know are me and DH. I am a little freaking out, and have tons of questions, but no one to ask them to, so I figured this would be a great start!! I'm call my dr Monday, so hopefully I will get in soon. I should be 5wks Tuesday. When do you normally have your first ultrasound? Also, we are thinking of telling our parents only on Mother's Day. I would be 1 day shy of the 8 wk mark. Is that too soon? It will be a strictly them, do not tell thing. I'm hoping to have an ultrasound picture to go with their gift; Could it happen by then?

Well...totally varies. With my first one, I had an ultrasound at 8 weeks to date because I had a new OB (we had moved out of state before I got pregnant but I hadn't needed to see an OB yet). If I hadn't been new he said 12 weeks is his standard. So with 2 and 3 it was 12 weeks. 4th pregnancy, again new state, but it was my 4th pregnancy so while I would have gone at 8 weeks, the OB was backed up that week so they said I'd be fine to wait till 9 weeks. And my ectopic pregnancy ruptured Friday and dr appt was for the following Monday. So too bad it wasn't the week earlier in that case. 5th pregnancy super cautious because of the ectopic so first ultrasound was 5 weeks, 6 days, which my first OB visits 2 weeks prior for bloodwork.

If you have concerns, or just want the ultrasound, call your doc and say as much. I feel like after a lot of trying or loss they are pretty receptive to any questions/concerns.

Congrats to you! It's so scary after you have tried a long time or lost a baby. We barely told anyone about kids 3 and 4 for that reason.

I am 25 weeks with my third child and we will be in Disney in 31 days!! Yay!! :cool1: I am feeling pretty well so far finally able to eat food again!! :cool1: The heart burn has started though but we are so excited to be heading to WDW. We usually go twice a year but with the baby due 8/2 we are only going once this year! Hope everyone has a safe trip!! :) :goodvibes

Hi all I am 20 weeks preggo and headed to WDW in 6 days! I am feeling great right now pregnancy wise so this should be a great trip! A little sad about not doing my favorite rides, but DS2 (who is 2) will be my buddy while Dh and DS1 (4) go ride some fun rides. He just passed 40 inches and I am so excited for him to get to try some new rides!

Thanks for sharing!! I keep having pains in my left side, so I'm so nervous about it being ectopic. After so many negative tests over the past 5 1/2 years, I'm still not in full belief of this... Errrrr..... These 4 positives. We are planning to tell our parents on Mother's Day, but will probably wait to tell anyone else until end of June or sometime in July.

I just noticed this board too! I'm 18 weeks and will be heading to WDW in two weeks!
thanks for joining!!

Mention the pain when you call. I had so many symptoms that, in hindsight, I overlooked. Better to be safe and get it checked out and see a healthy, properly positioned baby than end up losing a tube and half your blood volume like me. I'll be sending good thoughts your way that it's nothing!

thank you so much!! I'm having pressure off and on very low, but I keep reading that is normal, but not the pain. Hopefully I can get in soon?
