Preggo, pennies, and pastries!!! **FINAL UPDATES 4/25**

What a busy day. An updating fool you are.
Glad you stayed. Though honestly, I don't even know how you would even consider leaving. LOL! That would not be an option for me.

Yak and Yeti is on my list of places to try...mostly for those fried wontons ;)

I LOVE that Mickey head mug with all the different animal prints! That is super cute, I wish I'd purchased a mug on our trip. Oh well, next year.

The pictures of you and Luke with the characters are SO cute. I'm so glad that he loved them so much!

Luke actually kind of reminds me of Mike and Kailyn when they were little...they did NOT like anything dark, loud, unexpected, etc. Kailyn absolutely hated fireworks when she was little. I can still remember her asking on the Mexico ride, with the fireworks, "are they real?" "Are they loud?" They definitely would have freaked out over the bridge part on the safari, too. That's so sweet that the CM changed the spiel a little for Luke!

You officially convinced my mom to do the dessert party... she saw your plates and was convinced lol

I love reading trip reports that include little kids, but yours has also been very educational! I didn't know how nice the baby care centers are and you've shown me what to expect from the gift shops. I'm afraid I'm also going to need to learn to go with the flow!

I had NO idea how much was in those baby care centers! Thank you so much for showing us these, as I will most probably be needing to use them a lot on our next trip. :goodvibes

Yak & Yeti is very beautiful inside! Too bad the parade was cancelled, but otherwise what a great day! I love how you are showing such a different way of touring, because of Luke and being pregnant. It makes me even more confident about wanting to take a trip when Peanut is young and I could possibly be pregnant with a second. :thumbsup2

I'm someone who loves Kali »River Rapid, especially if I get soaked to the bones. In the hot Florida summer, I know that the worse that will happen is it will take a little while to dry. nothing to worry about. So I totally agree with letting your kids play in the fountain or water play areas. I LOVED jumping in water puddle when I was young (and even not so young :rolleyes1)

Oh my goodness! I am in LOVE with the Baby Care Centers!!! After you have the baby, DEFINITELY stop inside them, even if its just for a little break! They are wonderful! Like I said, the ones at MK are the best!!! For some reason I can't remember using the one at DHS, but I know I've been inside the ones at AK, MK and Epcot! The changing tables at MK are amazing -- soft, plush, very large! I'll find a picture of them -- I didn't use the MK one this year but I know I did Luke's first trip in 2009!

I definitely don't think that being pregnant (or traveling with an infant/toddler) is a reason to avoid taking a vacation! There is plenty to do & honestly, I am so sad we didn't know more on Luke's first trip. He was 10 months old at the time & had we known about Rider Swap and FastPass and other things, we could've done SO much more than we did that trip! We just skipped everything assuming we couldn't do it with a younger child. I guess that's what the DISboards are for though, right?! LOL! This is where we learn from each other! :thumbsup2

I know what you mean about the water! In the Florida heat & humidity, it only takes a few minutes to dry!!! I have no idea why some people get so upset about it -- I love puddles too! :lmao:

What a busy day. An updating fool you are.
Glad you stayed. Though honestly, I don't even know how you would even consider leaving. LOL! That would not be an option for me.

Well I stupidly posted ALL of the updates that I had saved in Word -- so now you guys can go a few months without an update from me, right?! :lmao: ;)

Just joking, of course! I'll try to find some "free" time to work on updates again. I really want to catch up on my subs first though. I've been reading them at some horrible time in the middle of the night (usually around 3:30am) so I haven't bothered posting my own remarks. I figure my comments will come out sounding fairly stupid at that time in the morning! LOL! I have been following your DCL report & AEP one for months -- just haven't been posting comments!

Looking back, I can't believe we thought about leaving either, but we were all honestly miserable. It was so sad to me. I think I cried in quite a few bathrooms on property those first few days! More than I care to remember actually. I'm so glad we stayed though!

I LOVE that mug too!!! I'm so glad I bought it! I have a ton of Disney mugs & still buy at least one (or more!) every single trip! I still can't believe I didn't buy any MNSSHP merchandise while we were there! Who knows when we'll get back there for Halloween again!

I'm glad you mention fireworks because that's actually one of the reasons why I was shocked that Luke was afraid of everything! He LOVES fireworks!!! :lmao: It was so incredibly confusing! It was hard because I was sad for him AND sad for us at the same time. I so wanted him to enjoy the vacation & just love everything as much as I do! But at the same time, I didn't want him to be scared to death and I didn't want to force him to do things that would terrify him. I also wanted us to enjoy the vacation with as much planning as we did for it (and as much money as we paid for it! lol!) When I wrote my PTR, I remember saying that this was the trip where we were going to do the things we skipped the past few years! I figured Luke would be old enough to sit through a few of the shows, go on rides he wasn't tall enough to ride in the past, etc. Here I was stressing before the trip about going while pregnant -- when I really should've been worried about Luke. I just didn't know it ahead of time! LOL!

Oh and YES -- go to Yak & Yeti and get those wontons!!!! :thumbsup2

You officially convinced my mom to do the dessert party... she saw your plates and was convinced lol

Yay!!!! I'm soooo glad I convinced her! She will love it!!! :thumbsup2

I'll keep my fingers crossed that you guys get an awesome table like we did!!! The chocolate covered strawberries are the best out of everything -- but the tiramisu and mango shooters come in a close second place!!! Well in my eyes anyway!

My only advice is to make an early lunch reservation & skip dinner or eat a very, very light dinner! I was worried about us eating at Crystal Palace on the same day as the dessert party, but it ended up working out fine since we barely ate anything there! We had plenty of room for desserts!

I love reading trip reports that include little kids, but yours has also been very educational! I didn't know how nice the baby care centers are and you've shown me what to expect from the gift shops. I'm afraid I'm also going to need to learn to go with the flow!

I'm glad my report has been so helpful to you!!! :thumbsup2

The first time I traveled to Disney with an infant, I was glad someone pointed me in the direction of the Baby Care Centers! If I'm not mistaken, a CM at MK was the one who told me about them. I am honestly forever grateful because they are so wonderful! I'm not the type of person who gets excited over things like this, so you know they must be a big deal! LOL!!!

If I can learn to "go with the flow" then ANYONE can, trust me!!! I am so incredibly OCD about planning, and sticking with plans, and doing everything in a certain order to make sure things get done! But with kids, especially at Luke's age, you just have to learn to have fun & not worry about the details! When I sit here, thinking about our trip, and looking back on details, the BEST days were honestly the ones when we did spontaneous things!!! I guess the important lesson to learn is: Let the trip make the memories -- not the planning. The special moments of the trip were made by Luke, not by my planning! I seriously have to remind myself of that when planning our next trip!!!

I also love the Baby Care Centers, and you are so right, the one at MK has the nicest changing tables EVER!

We've eaten at Yak and Yeti twice and enjoyed it both times.

I'm so glad you guys decided to stay (even though I already knew that). Going with the flow is the best solution on vacation!

Okay, I'm FINALLY commenting on your last update :rotfl: The last week and a half has been insane. We had problems with both of our cars last week :faint: Mine seems to be fine now, after a weekend in the shop. My mom's taking her car back to the shop on Friday so they can fix whatever was wrong with it. And I spent most of last week studying for a psychology test. My psych class is gonna kill me :sad2: But on the positive side, it's helping me make a decision on my major. This class is definitely making me not wanna be a psych major  I have so much work to do in the next couple weeks. I can't wait until my trip :rotfl: 3 weeks from Friday!

That picture of the onion rings is making me slightly hungry...which is really sad because I just ate lunch an hour ago :rotfl: The onion rings I've had at Disney have always been sooo good!

I love those pictures of Luke with the Pooh characters :lovestruc I've always had a soft spot for the Pooh characters. My mom loves them too. Every time we eat at CP I tell Eeyore that he's her favorite. He gets all excited and shy at the same time. It's adorable

That part of the safari scared me when I was little too. Actually a LOT of things scared me on my first trip and I was older than Luke. I was 6 and a half  I was afraid of Pirates, the Haunted Mansion, the Great Movie Ride...and don't even get me started on It's Tough to be a Bug  On the other rides I was only scared the first time I rode them and I was fine after that. ITTBAB still freaks me out a little bit. I'm terrified of spiders, and I'm not a fan of bugs in general. I wouldn't go back in there for years :rotfl: But I went on every roller coaster without any hesitation :confused3 I was a weird kid :lmao:

Yak and Yeti looks amazing!!! We have a reservation there. I'm so glad I booked it!

There are so many things in that gift shop that I want...I made a Disney shopping list in my phone a few days ago :rolleyes1 :lmao:

I promise I'll send you that Little Mermaid DVD soon! The only reason I haven't sent it is because I haven't had a chance to grab an envelope for it at the post office. I completely forgot about it over the weekend and the post office is closed by the time I get home from school. I should be able to get there on Friday!

An update?! Well sort of....:rolleyes1

I'm seriously trying to find some time to post an update! I knew I shouldn't have posted everything I typed up in Word because now I'm out of updates & it will be awhile in between. Which brings me to my next point! I am going to combine my TR with my new PTR because there's no way I'll find the time to update both of them! :lmao:

WHAT?! A PTR???

Yes, you heard me correctly! A NEW PTR! It's going to be the BEST trip ever! We're going to see the Christmas decorations AND take Tyler on his very first trip!!! What could be more exciting than that?! :santa:

I already have a tentative list of ADR's too! Well right now the list is only inside my head, but I'm thinking about them for sure!

I'm going to make an attempt to catch up here on DIS on my subs, catch up with work emails, and with some friends. And after that, I promise to be back to post a few updates to my TR and also some new details on my PTR! Let's also pray in the meantime that Disney extends Free Dining dates -- or else this trip might not happen!

Hope you are all doing well!

A trip this year???? Yay! I know how happy that must make you! Fingers crossed for free dining!

Yay!!! Congrats on the new trip! I'm so excited for you. I'd love to see the Christmas decorations. Can't wait to hear all about your plans. :thumbsup2

Hooray for another trip!!!!

I just came on here after I was texting you about my professor being late. We're all still waiting for him :rolleyes1 I'd leave, but I missed this class last week. And I wouldn't have anywhere to go  I have to stay on campus for my afternoon class. So I'm stuck here, waiting for my professor...half hour late to an 80 minute class, for the second time in like two weeks  Oh well. It's not gonna bother me today, since this time tomorrow I'll be in Orlando :cool1:

Yay for a new trip! What dates are you planning? We're thinking of taking our little girl when she is about 6 months. :-)

Yayyyy! So excited for you!

I have totally been meaning to email you for like the past couple weeks...I keep losing track of time and remembering late, when I'm already in bed, and I don't want to text you late. :( I really don't have anything exciting happening, I just miss talking to you!

Well you sneaky bugger.. I didn't know you had plans for this year now! How exciting!!!!!

Yay!!!! I will keep my fingers crossed for a FD extension! Now to go catch up the 98 billion subs I haven't read in a month...

I also love the Baby Care Centers, and you are so right, the one at MK has the nicest changing tables EVER!

We both love the Baby Care Centers so I won't go on and on and on about them again -- but I really could!!!

A lot of people probably think of them to be used for only infants but they can be a really good place to just hang out with older children & give them a break from the crowds/heat/humidity!

Since we've eaten at Yak & Yeti, I've recommended it to a few people. I can't wait to hear what they think! Did you get the fried won tons too? They were a-m-a-z-i-n-g!!!

It seriously must be the season for car problems! My dad had to take his to the shop last week & the kids and I picked him up. My SIL also has a few friends/workers who have had car issues. Oh and we hit a turtle but it didn't do damage -- guess its the season for animals on the road too :sad2:

That picture of the onion rings is making me slightly hungry...which is really sad because I just ate lunch an hour ago :rotfl: The onion rings I've had at Disney have always been sooo good!

We have to quit talking about onion rings....I'm starving now! :lmao:

I love those pictures of Luke with the Pooh characters :lovestruc I've always had a soft spot for the Pooh characters. My mom loves them too. Every time we eat at CP I tell Eeyore that he's her favorite. He gets all excited and shy at the same time. It's adorable

Remind me sometime to take a pic of my Eeyore collection! I'm sure your mom would enjoy seeing it! He is one of my favs too!!!

Do you take her to the character greeting at AK with Pooh, Tigger & Eeyore? It's one of my favorite character greetings out of all four parks! You should buy her the Jim Shore Eeyore if she doesn't already have it! I think I found it at our local craft store for under $20!

Thank you for sharing that with me! It's actually helped me to step back & put things into perspective for next trip! I remember 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea -- to this day I have NOOOOO idea why my mom ever thought it would be ok to put me on it! Because of that ride, I have an extreme fear of being underwater. Yep, it was that traumatizing!

Yak and Yeti looks amazing!!! We have a reservation there. I'm so glad I booked it!

I can't wait to hear what you thought about Yak & Yeti!

There are so many things in that gift shop that I want...I made a Disney shopping list in my phone a few days ago :rolleyes1 :lmao:

Thank you so much for the DVD!!! Luke was excited to get it!
