Going to the world in feb on a AAA package and one of the perks is a voucher for preferred viewing seating for the afternoon parade in the magic kingdom. Has anyone used this voucher? Where is it located and is it worth using it?

In the past, it has been on the upper railing of the Main St. Railroad Station.

That is a great spot for viewing the MK parades.

I'm assuming they actually block off spots and you have to show a ticket to get in. Never heard about this and we always book through AAA. Thanks for post as I'll be checking with my agent!

I did this last year as a solo, and for me, was soo not worth it. you do have to make reservations ahead of time. I arrived at the train station ~ 50 minutes before the parade, and all of the front 2 rows of seats were "taken" ie, being held by 1 or 2 people for their families. It was nice being in the shade for a little while. I would have moved my chair out from under the shading in order to see better, but was told "not allowed" by the gentleman running the area. About 15min before parade time, he then allowed others to move their chairs to the front side railing. The view from the 3rd row was not that great. It was ok tho, because I have seen the parade many times. It was not worth the time to make sure I got back to that area of the park, just for a 3rd row seat with just an ok view. it did give a different perspective of the parade: looking down on it from above. But, it was free, and worth trying once. I will not be booking this in the future.

So is it not possible to watch from the train station without the preferred seating? I have thought about photographing it from up there for a different perspective.

One of the points the PP made was that when he went up for the Preferred Seating, there were already other guests (non-Preferred Seating, AFAIK) taking up the front-row seats.
Sounds to me like, from that post, that those who did have PS had to sit/stand behind those other guests who were
already there before the call-time of the PS group.

Regardless, even if they DID hold the seating area for PS guests, the PS is not held every day or for all parades.

Thanks for clarifying. I misunderstood that and thought they were OTHER PS guests holding spots for the rest of their families.
