Are you sure to see fireworks from the villa? Just wondering, 4th of July was available. I have 56 points used for BWV, it would be 100 points for the Riviera. We would just stay put for the whole 4 night stay.

I'm not sure how the views of DHS are from the Riviera preferred view villas, but I'm pretty sure the standard view villas have better views of Epcot and therefore of its fireworks. We stayed a night in a standard view 1 BR in February and had a great view of Spaceship Earth. Most of the views from preferred view villas that I can remember are of the pool area and CBR. Scroll down on the first post of this thread to see a diagram of the views. Looks like very few preferred view villas actually face DHS or Epcot. https://www.disboards.com/threads/the-official-riviera-owners-info-thread.3755767/.

Like PP said you have a ZERO chance of Epcot fireworks with a preferred view. Those are all standard view rooms that mostly look over the parking lot BUT if you look up(or get a high enough floor) you're treated to a nice view of Spaceship Earth and the Epcot fireworks.

HS fireworks are hard to see from Riviera as there is a small allotment of preferred view rooms facing West that can see the fireworks(and maybe some of the Tower studios) and thats it. On the same side as the highlighted red room below.

Im sure there are few that can see them on the west facing side of the other "wing" but that gets to be more of a guessing game.

My hope is long term they adjust which rooms are which views and add a fireworks view even if it's a combo of Epcot/HS fireworks views.

If it's easy to do in terms of reallocating points, such as dividing BWV Preferred views into Boardwalk View and P/G View (at the same points costs), it's more likely to happen than if it would take a lot of calculations to even out the charts.

I do believe you’ll get a view of Epcot fireworks from west facing preferred rooms... the rooms below Topolino’s (they claim you can see fireworks from the restaurant).. but you may only see high fireworks over the hotel.

I do feel there should be 3 categories. Preferred/water/pool view, Epcot view (basically current standard but high floors), and the lower standard floors would remain standard.

I posted the full image to the Riviera thread. Its a giveaway picture for doing a tour of Riviera. I am thinking of asking my guide to hold one for me when I come next month.
Seth, Will you please direct me to that page, post the link to the thread? I would like to see the full image. Thank you.
