Greetings! We are a senior couple cruising on a 5 night sailing on the Disney Dream in December. (Don't tell our grandkids! lol)

I was able to call the Disney Cruise Line and get the dining rotation options for our sailing. I have narrowed it down to these two: AP, EG, RP, RP, AP or EG, RP, AP, AP EG. Note: Formal night (optional) is on Day 2 and Pirate night is on Day 4.

Which dining rotation do you prefer? Or rather, which restaurants do you prefer dining at twice? Is there one you would lean to for formal night and another you would lean to for Pirate night?

Your input is greatly appreciated! :)

Doesn't matter to me what the order is. I just go with what DCL assigns me. You're going to get the same menus as everyone else, regardless of the order you do them in.

We also go with whatever is assigned. That being said, Animator's is my favorite on Pirate Night! I love that the lighting is different and they put piratey pictures on the screens. It really sets the mood! I also love when it works out to be in Royal Palace/Court for formal night. It feels like it matches best to me.

We also liked Animator’s for Pirate night.

Our 5 night sailing on the Dream from Fort Lauderdale did not have a formal night (I’ve heard that’s only on 7 night+ sailings) and our Pirate Night was night 2.

Which cruise are you on? I just realized you said December and we're going on December 7-12!

My recommendation is be in Royal Palace for Formal Night. Which puts you in a more peaceful Enchanted Garden two nights. And Animator’s for Pirates; it’s colorful theming seems appropriate for Pirate attire.

So, EG, RP, AP, AP EG.

Ive just been on a 5 night European cruise on The Dream. This was our dining rotation.

I special requested the first one, as I like Animators Palate on Pirate night

That's the one we'll be on as well! Will you be traveling with family or just two of you? We should compare notes! I'm anxious to see the Christmas theming in the decor and in the characters.

I sent you a private message/conversation!

Animator's Palate on Pirate Night! That's the only MDR that does theming (they show video clips from pirate movies/shows) so I like being there on Pirate Night.
