Predict your NFL Team record this year

Patriots are now 7-0

They haven’t played a good team yet. Wait until they play my eagles. Ok the eagles are also bad. This could actually be the year the patriots go perfect. Even thou they haven’t played anybody good yet that’s not their fault.

Yes with their defense, I could see them running the table.

I was referring to their first 7 games and you are mentioning teams they haven't even played yet.

By the way, the Browns suck. Eagles aren't very good. Cowboys and Ravens are questionable.

Ravens are for real. Cowboys are what they always are. Not as good as they should be. Eagles have been hit or miss, but they're still good.

The bottom line is, they will have to go through the Chiefs once, if not twice. Gotta beat the Ravens and Bills. Could have to deal with Houston and Indy. Personally, I'd take the Saints schedule any year. At least 9 games indoors and 1 game in Florida every year.

You and I are talking about different things. I'm not referencing who they might play in the playoffs. I'm simply talking about who they've played up to this point in the season. It has been a joke and helps explain why they are 7-0. Playoffs are basically locked in already thanks to a horrendous schedule.

Yeah. That's why.

Bills are 6-1. Gotta play them twice.

Bills are 5-1. And as difficult as it may be for some to believe, they've played an even easier schedule than the Patriots so far. t The Jets, the Bungles, the Giants, the Dolphins, the Titans, many of the same teams as the Patriots. The teams the Bills beat are a combined 6-27.

They still have to beat 2 of the top 3 teams in the AFC as well as the best team in the NFC. God, the excuses people come up with year after year after year. It never ends.

"Their schedule is too easy."
"Brady gets all the calls."
"The NFL wants them to win."
"They play in a terrible division."
"The AFC isn't as good as the NFC."

The only good part of it all is how much fun the sports media and fans have listening to the excuses.
You must have missed the part when I said they were still the best team. 2 of the top 3 teams means nothing when one of those teams is a 9-7 or 8-8 team and you are always playing at home favored by 2 TDs. So most years they play 1 tough AFC team at home which is a greater than 50/50 chance to win, then they play a good team in the Super Bowl which is usually a coin toss game. You get in that situation every year, you are going to win some of them. They still get the credit for always being good and being able to take advantage of how bad the other teams are.

Again, not trying to take championships away or say they didn't deserve them, but they have had undeniably fortunate paths most years. Not every opinion is an attack on your favorite football team that needs to be defended.

Most championships in all sports have an element of luck involved. My favorite team, the Packers, won the SB in 2010. They only got into the Playoffs as a Wild Card on a crazy last second punt return in a game they weren't even involved in. I can be happy they won the Super Bowl and also admit they were pretty fortunate to be there in the first place.

There's an element of luck in any game, sure. But I don't consider luck having anything to do with getting to 8 AFC Championship games in a row, getting to the Super Bowl 5 times in this decade and winning it 3 times.

As for the teams they play to get there, 9-7 or 8-8? I don't think that's the case. For the 5 title games they won this decade, here is their opponents record:

2018 opponent: 12-4
2017 opponent: 10-6
2016 opponents: 11-5
2014 opponent: 11-5
2011 opponent: 12-4

Browns have been disappointing so far this year, but as opposed to the Patriots, their schedule was loaded in the beginning, having to play the 49ers, Ravens, Seahawks, Rams and Patriots in their first 7 games. Unfortunately, they laid an egg in their opener against the Titans, but aside from that, they're about where I would have predicted they'd be right now. There should be 5 easy wins in the back half of the schedule (the Dolphins, 2 against the Steelers and 2 against the Bengals) and if they can beat the Ravens a second time, they could still go 9-7 and win the division.

Yeah, the Bills are not a good tea

I was referring to the Divisional round with the 9-7 teams. They play good teams in the Championship round.

While I'll admit the Patriots have been the best team in the league during the Brady/Belichick stretch, it is a little annoying that the entire AFC always seems to be much worse than the NFC. The Pats path to the Super Bowl is always easier than other teams. They get to beat up on the JV AFC East teams all year to get home field advantage, then some 9-7 team comes to their place for the Divisional round, then they play the only good team in the league at home for the chance at the Super Bowl.

What are the other AFC teams doing? Once Manning retired, it's like the rest of the teams don't even try to get better. The Chiefs get a great QB and then don't bother to try to improve their defense?

This isn't to take anything away from them, Belichick is probably the best coach ever, but I'd bet if they were in the NFC the last 10-15 years they would have a few less titles. Having to play @Green Bay, @Seattle, @new Orleans, @Minnesota, @Dallas, @Philly every year in the playoffs would have led to some early exits that just don't have a possibility of happening in the AFC.

Last year they had to beat KC in KC to get to the Super Bowl then totally shut down the anointed high powered offense of the Rams to win it.

browns are 2-4 with New-England coming, but in the words of the great Tug McGraw "ya gotta believe"

49ers : 6-10

Who would have thought the Niners would be 7-0? Nobody.
Bosa has been a monster. Looks like the pick of the draft so far.
Seahags still to play twice and the lambs once more. Also have the team formerly known as the Aints and the suddenly rejuvenated Packers. So we'll see how they hold up. But so far so good.

Drew Brees is back so we’ll see about all that.
