Predeparture Kit contents

Need some help with knowing what's in the predeparture kit. One box arrived today and the other is stuck in customs. We got charged $14 by UPS for one of the boxes and assume that UPS will charge us $14 for the other one too. I called ABD and they said that shouldn't have happened and would fix it for me .... they said they'd try to get the other package out of customs for me and call me with an update. Hmmm... we'll see. We paid so much for the trip, it's a little annoying to have to pay $28 for our "gifts". Let's hope they fix it.

Anyway, the box that did arrive was ripped open and crudely taped back together. No doubt the people at customs or UPS ripped it open (have they never heard of a box cutter on the tape seams???) and then attempted to tape it up again .... they left a huge gap in the box. I need to know if the box contains everything we're supposed to get because there's always a possibility that something was removed or fell out of the huge gap they left behind.

In the box were 2 backpacks, a predeparture book and 4 cardboard luggage tags (with string) (2 luggage tags per person). Is it all there?

IT may have changed from last year but last year there was also a plastic zip bag, a 311 bag if you will and I think a keychain. Let me see if I can find my post from last year when I got the box.

ABD just called and they're going to credit my credit card with the UPS charge and send another kit out to me for the one that's stuck in customs right now.

She apologized for the UPS mixup and said it hasn't happened in a long time so now they're in the process of fixing this mixup so it doesn't happen again.

That's all we got last summer, except for the plastic bag and keychain Tozzie mentioned. The keychain was attached to the zipper on the backpack. There were two of us, but we only got one keychain. But we are 1 adult and 1 child, so may be 2 keychains for 2 adults.

Hmmm... we'll wait for the second box to show up to know whether or not keychains were sent or not. Nothign was attached to these two backpacks so I suspect they've decided not to send keychains. That's ok. I've got so many keychains from our cruises (can you say excess bingo giveaways?) that I don't really need more!
