I see on the DCL App that we can prebook activities onboard, such as the Rainforest Room pass and Palo Dinner. Does DCL charge you as soon as you book these activities or does it hold your space and then charge you once you board the ship? I have a shipboard credit that I would like to use for these activities, but won't receive the credit until 14 days before my sailing and want to reserve them before they fill up.

The book in advance activities are just that, book in advance. On my recent cruise on The Fantasy end of August 2025, I booked Palo Brunch and Mixology. Both are only changed on the day, when you are on the cruise.

At Palo Brunch at the end of the meal you will get a receipt to sign which has the basic cost. If you ordered extra drinks they will be added to the basic cost. There is also a space to add an optional tip to the final total. The Head server will then manually put the total amount onto your onboard account.

For the alcohol classes, they will have a print out of everyone who has booked that specific class. The bar tender will check every one off the list as you arrive. Then later, after the class the bartender will manually put the total amount onto your onboard account.

The ship board credit will be added to your account and will show up on your onboard account folio which you can check on the App once you get on the ship.

Wonderful, thank you so much for this!

Onboard activities booked in advance (such as Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique and adult dining, tastings, and spa treatments) are not charged until the end of the activity.

Shore excursions booked through Disney may show up on your account as soon as you board, but will be removed if for some reason the ship does not stop at that port.

Items purchased in advance to be delivered to the room (such as decorations, wine, and flowers) may be charged at time of booking, since they can be purchased by people not on the cruise.
