Pre-Trip Report for Three Princesses and a June Trip to the World, 6/24 We're Back!!

Continued Imprompto Mini Segment

  OK so congratulations are in order for me....I am the proud owner of not one but TWO Disney vacations running simultaneously from two different resorts..:teleport:
Oh, yeah! Oh yaaa! :cheer2: So this is what is happening in real time. We have $200 deposit on our original resort, All Star Sports, through Disney. I also just booked through AAA for POR resort. One will be canceled by this evening....which will it be????

OK, now back to Mr. Indecisive's (John) plans. John lives in Florida and is "thinking" of driving with his daughter to meet us at our hotel on Monday. They would then join us all day Monday, Tuesday and half of Wednesday. John wanted to go to Magic Kingdom Tuesday and Typhoon Lagoon on Wednesday. However, Wednesday was supposed to be our Animal Kingdom day. So, if John and Kayla join us, I will have to do a major ADR overhaul....which I dont mind providing Disney goes along with my plans!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Here's the catch. John hasn't definately decided to come along. So I cant change any ADR's until he let's us know..ya or neh. We are giving him until next week to decide.

So tell you what, I will sit tight and give you my original plans and then confuse you by changing them all if John and Kayla come along...There how's that?? ;)

Are you DLMama in disguise with all of the double bookins' and such???

Are you DLMama in disguise with all of the double bookins' and such???

Or V with her ADR changes :rotfl2:

:lmao: Hahahaha! Here I was making fun (in a loving Disney way) of poor Princess V. And here I am doing the exact same thing!!!:rotfl:

OK in about 15 minutes, I will post the next installment! Thanks for checking back! You are the best and very encouraging!!!:thumbsup2

Hey your 15 minutes are up!.....Don't leve people hanging like I did for 5 days :)) I am thinking you are going to be staying at POR though!!! I can't wait to find out for sure!! :goodvibes

Fourth Installment: Shopping, planning and waiting and waiting…

It's just after lunch, but I still have some left over egg salad if you want some. I am sick  of it myself! Otherwise, come on in, have a seat, get out your paper and scissors and start cutting….

So, when we were more than 90 days out from our vacation. What did we do? Why we made our handy dandy :mickeyjum :earsgirl: :earboy2: Mickey Mouse Head Calender Count Down, of course. Luckily I scrapbook and had plenty of colorful scraps of paper and even Mickey stickers left over from last year. So, here’s what we did. I took a LGMH (Lime Green Mickey Head) from Home Depot, also left over, and cut the head out as a guide. I traced 92 Mickey shaped heads. DD9 cut them out. Wow! That was a lot of work!!!

All three girls put on stickers while I numbered them 1 to 92. We laid out a long line of yarn and taped each Mickey head :smickey: numerically to it. Next, we hung the whole thing up with thumb tacks in the play room. It spanned all four walls. We clipped on a little sign which says “How many more days?” to the Mickey head with the correct # and each day it moves one head closer to the end. Yikes, that’s a lot of days when you look around the room. It kind of put things in perspective for me.

So here we :hourglass wait. And wait :hourglass . And wait. :hourglass :scared:  :rolleyes2 Actually our current count day for today is.......66 Days!!!!!!!!!:cheer2: :dancer: but it's still a long ways off.:hourglass

Sooooo, we can't just sit here. That’s way too boring! Jump in the minivan :drive: ...time to start shopping! :jumping3: Mostly it’s window shopping but looking around none the less. What is absolutely essential for our trip? Hmmmmm, lets make a list: Crocs, Jibbitz, some kind of stroller (another issue in itself), summer clothes, and fun things like LGMH, those chemiluminescent glow tubes the kids wear at night and princess outfits. princess:

Which brings me to another Disney call. Bibbidy Bobbidy Boutique in DTD sounded great but the youngest age they did was 3. Darn! DD2, Baby, was too young and I didn’t want to leave her out. So I improvised and bought everything to do it myself at the hotel. It’s a surprise!:tiptoe: I am shipping the dresses princess: , makeup and accessories to the hotel ahead of time. ( I bought everything online)

I am trying to not get involved in pin trading. It looks like such fun but I don’t know if we will participate this trip. We have another collection going already…penny smushing. I figure I can set that all up (an M&M tube of money) and DD9 can go at it. The little ones can work on autographs. And there you have it. Our little plan.

We also need luggage (ya that’ll never happen), some rain ponchos and umbrellas and a better bag for carrying stuff in the parks. (I’ll probably use my school back-pack.) Oh yeah and what about the stroller dilemma. Last year we brought our 40 pound “sit and stand” stroller. My poor DH hauled it on and off the busses. It was a pain. So this year were comtemplating just renting for the week at the parks. The problem with that is it left us strollerless everywhere else. YIKES. The solution came when a friend at my daughter’s dance class offered her two umbrella strollers. They only weigh 5 pounds, can be connected or not and have a strap to carry them over your shoulder. They used them at Disney and loved them. Yeah!!! Another problem solved.

One important purchase I did make was investing in a Disney Passporter. I bought the one you can refill and reuse for each trip. It is very helpful in getting all of your plans together and keeps it all organized and neat. Something the teacher side of me loves. (Did I mention I teach 9th grade science? I have 100 14-yr-olds, :scared: another reason for this vacay!!!)

Are you all still awake?? Are my ramblings boring you?????? I guess I should wrap this segment up and tell you more about the touring plans next time. Heck, by then everything could be changed again anyways!!

Next time: Touring Plans or In an ideal Disney World, what we would like to see and do each day.

OK now it's time for our flashback to last year's trip:

Here is Boo bug when she got her first license at 2 yr!

DIY BBB! You are soooo creative!

Oh...and I do not envy you with your 9th graders. I don't *d0* teenages...they have hormones and such! I have k-6 speech kids. Yea...too many to count!

 To all the teachers!! You guys are great. I am just in healthcare. OBGYN. You want to talk about hormones!! BTW, I have a deluxe Passporter too. I have had a Passporter since 2000 and refuse to go anywhere without it! No, really. It is is my travel bag-I mean purse and is here at work with me right now.

Well, soon I will post my packing checklist. If you think a limegreen baggallini will hold it all, call me back. No, seriously, I think I need a lime green packmule instead.....:rotfl: :lmao:
Actually, and you parents would be surprised at this, teenagers don't necessarily give their teachers the kind of grief they give their parents. And if they do, well, lets just say....there's the door...come back tomorrow! :scared1:

My girls want to do BBB, but I don't want to give up the time in the parks!!! Do you mind sharing what you purchased and where you got it? You can PM me if you want.

Thanks!
Denise
