Pre-Trip Report for Three Princesses and a June Trip to the World, 6/24 We're Back!!

My girls want to do BBB, but I don't want to give up the time in the parks!!! Do you mind sharing what you purchased and where you got it? You can PM me if you want.

Thanks!
Denise

Hello Praise! PTL!!! ;) Let's see I googled Disney costumes and I think I purchased everything between two places: buycostumes.com and costumehub.com. I purchased three dresses, shoes, tiara's, jewelry, wands and make-up. I also picked up some "fake hair" for the pony tails and stick on earings. Everything arrived within a week...they were fast! :wizard:
I also noticed that Target has some Disney princess dresses very reasonable online. I may buy another set? We will see. I dont want to overdo it!:confused3
Hope this helps! Let me know how it works out!!! :cheer2: Thanks for reading!!!

Well, I finally managed to mosey on over to your pre-trip thread. You better stop feeding us at every new installment or we will be whales by our next trips! :lmao:

We are staying at Port Orleans Riverside. It's going to be great for our family of 5. We really wanted that trundle bed as DD (who will be almost 3) when we go does not sleep in a port-a-crib. So we were really limited on where we could stay. However, POR is beautiful!!!

Someone posted their website with a slide show of all their pics there. They are absolutely beautiful!!! Since they posted it on this website before, I am sure they won't mind if I repost a link for you all to look at:

Beautiful Port Orleans Riverside photos

Enjoy....

Fifth Installment: Touring Plans or In an ideal Disney World, what we would like to see and do each day.

So how are those brownies holding up? Everyone have their own plates? popcorn:: Welcome back! We have a special treat today ....... have a back massage while you read….:woohoo:

Well, March rolled around and during my breaks from proctoring those NJ state tests, I began my famous touring plans. I checked out from the library The Unofficial Guide to Disney which can really get you crazy  but still has great advice. Another suggestion which I may try next time, is signing up with Tour Guide Mike. I have heard a lot of good stuff about him. :thumbsup2

Anywho, I used the maps online at the Disney website and the maps and times listed in my Passporter plus past experience to create my masterpiece. Another disser on here, made a ::MinnieMo “minnie” (pun intended) laminated copy with lots of cute stickers to bring around to the parks. I, of course, stole that terrific idea. Then the laminater at school broke before I could get my grubby little hands on it. Oh well. I will find a substitute.

I know some people hate plans while on vacation but I find comfort in knowing what is coming up next. Plus, the darn week is costing so much I want to make sure we get the most out of it within reason. One other thing, I go over The Plan :teacher: with the kids in advance so they know and agree to it. I am somehow thinking that will cut down on temper tantrums? OK well maybe not. :sad2: I try. One thing kids don’t do is think like adults, or else they would cease to be kids. Right? Ok well at least they see the rides we hope to make it on and what time to get up and eat, etc. I’ll let you know how it all goes….hehehehe!

I don’t want to bore everyone with our hour-by-hour plan for each day so I am including an excerpt from Day Two. If you want all the days, just let me know and I will email it. Remember, too, it’s untested as I type this. I just think this is how it will all go down:

Tuesday, June 19th, Magic Kingdom Day
*Get up early (6am?), Eat breakfast in room, leave by bus for the Magic Kingdom by 7 am for EMH.
*8 am – Enter Magic Kingdom and proceed directly to Fantasyland and ride/see everything.
*9am - Next, head to Frontierland and Fastpass Splash Mountain and/or Big Thunder. Have a snack.
*10am - Head to Adventureland and do Pirates, Jungle Cruise and/or Carpets of Aladdin.
****At around 11 pm, eat lunch at Peco Bills or if you feel like walking over there, Cosmic Rays in Tomorrowland.
*12 noon - After lunch, it will probably be hot. Check out either Country Bear Jamboree, Hall of Presidents and/or Tom Sawyer Island.
*12:30 pm - Catch the train in Frontierland to make a loop around the park. Get off at Main St and head back to hotel. Rest and Relax!
* Get ready and leave hotel around 4 or 4:30pm and return to Magic Kingdom.
*4:30 or 5 pm - Head over to Tomorrowland. Ride Buzz, Space Mountain (fastpass?) or Transit Authority and/or Indy Speedway if time permits.
*5:30 pm - Head back across the Magic Kingdom to Liberty Square and the Liberty Tree Tavern. Check in for dinner at 5:50pm.
*7:15 pm - If Riverboat is running, try it after dinner. Other options, redo Pirates or check out Country Bear Jamboree if you didn’t do it yet.
*8pm - If you want to beat the parade, head back to hotel NOW, OR
*8 pm – Check out Toontown Fair or go back to Tomorrowland and ride whatever you choose.
*9pm – Head out of park through the shops on Main St. since the parade will be starting. Go back to hotel and sleep!

And there you have it. Parts of the day are a little ambitious and won’t all get done. But that just means we will have to come back, right?!!!

By the end of March, I had each day planned and typed out. I put a pretty page border and clipped/pasted actual Disney pics :tigger: and characters. I printed out minature copies and whalaaa…my official Disney touring plans. One other thing you should do, is check out the refurbishment schedule on the Disney site. I am sad to say that the Haunted Mansion is closed for the summer. :sad1: Apparently they are adding stuff from the movie, like they did for Pirates. OK well, that makes yet another reason to come back.

Did you order your Disney planning DVD? Did you catch up on all the Disney movies you have in your collection? Hey, did you know they are having a t-shirt sale :thumbsup2 at the Disney store in the mall? Did you check your email. There are like 53 Dis emails. Stop reading so many different trip reports will ya?? Uggggg, I am addicted!

Next up, April snow showers bring June closer and what to pack?

Now this is the way to read a trip report! Chocolate, iced tea, and chair massages??? This is the most luxourious report ever!!! :thumbsup2

I did not know they were having a t-shirt sale at Disney Store, here in Hicksville IL, the closest one is an hour away, no way I can get there this weekend, but its very close to where my mom lives, hopefully I can talk her into swinging by the mall.
I totally agree with your way of thinking by the way, you make the plans, and convince him it was all his idea and if thats what he really wants to do "I guess we can do it that way" ;) ;) We women can be evil creatures sometimes ;) :lmao:
Here's how I got my girls trip in October (my b-day month): (keep in mind DH doesn't feel the Disney love like I do)

Me: You know what would be so much fun is to go for a short trip to WDW for my birthday.
DH: :headache: Are you crazy, we are going there in June, you know most people consider it a once in a lifetime trip!!!
Me: Oh I know sweetie, I was just saying :rolleyes1 I think it would be neat, they do all kinds of cool things if you are celebrating your b-day there. I was reading a trip report on the Dis about a family who took a mother/ daughter trip and what fun they had, it sounded so special! I would love to be able to do that with Mackenzie some day, but I don't think we could ever go without you honey.
DH: That would be something she would remember for a lifetime.
Me: Yeah, what would be even better is if my mom could come too, It would be so special to have some time for just us girls together, I think my mom would really enjoy it. :cloud9:
Dh: I think two trips in two years is way more than enough for me!
Me: Your right honey, I am just dreaming.
Now you know I had already talked to my mom about this so she called DH the next day and said that we had been talking about what fun a girls trip would be and how she really wanted to see WDW through Mackenzies eyes, and if she paid for Mackenzies portion do you think he would agree to it??

Poor guy never knew what hit him!!!! :rotfl: :lmao: :rotfl:

:thumbsup2 Way to go!!!!!!!!! What a great story!!! :rotfl2: :rotfl: :lmao:
My DH is hard to change once he has set his mind to something. Well, maybe he would say the same about me??? :rolleyes1

:dance3: TODAY IS RAH-RAH'S princess: 9TH BIRTHDAY! :yay: We are going to an indoor waterpark to celebrate! Good thing since it is still 50 degrees out!
Have a great day...I wont be on till later tonight! :cheer2:

  Sounds great...as long as you like to go early!!! ;)
You have the best smileys!
Oops...I forgot we'll be sleeping in "Disney style" that day. We probably won't be checking into our room until close to midnight on the 22nd, maybe even later. This will probably be the only day we sleep in. I don't mind so much as we will be going to Epcot twice during our stay so this one is just an "extra" for us. Looking forward to meeting you later though!

Welcome back! We have a special treat today ....... have a back massage while you read….:woohoo:
Ohh thanks I was just getting a crick in my neck so that really helped :goodvibes

can I add a couple of tips/suggestions, when you get into MK send 1 person to your first FP ride to get all the FP's then it will be time to do BTMR or whatever once you've finished fantasyland! Also did you know if you sit in the very last row on the train the kids sometimes are allowed to make the announcement and get a train drivers license!

Happy Birthday Rah-Rah

Oooh, thanks for the massage and goodies! :thumbsup2

DisneyJo, see the plate with the letters "D -- E -- B" on it, in permanent ink? That's MY one, okay? Hands off. :lmao:

twob4him, I like your style. :thumbsup2 Planning it all step by step. Love, love, love it. It became a total obsession for me. I ended up with a folder with 20 separate compartments with a name tag entitling each one and into each section went everything relevant. Sections were things like 'transportation', 'restaurants', 'touring plans', 'flights' etc. etc. Making my park touring plans was my favourite part of the whole process. :cloud9:

I think you would adore TGM. His 'least crowded days' charts are truly amazingly accurate! The way you did your touring plan, you've clearly already got very similar ideas to TGM. Now it's unlikely that he would have MK as a recommended park day on that particular day as it's an EMH day and TGM *generally* dislikes EMH days. But the fact that you're getting there early and trying to get to the headliners early is great. Looking very good! I was going to say though (if you don't mind me butting in!) I would be concerned about doing Toontown at 8pm. It's going to be wall-to-wall people. It opens usually at 10am and, if you're early, you get to meet all those great characters at Toontown Hall of Fame without too much waiting time (later it would be a hideous nightmare). You could probably fit Toontown in at 10am if you use fastpasses and baby swaps at Adventureland and Frontierland wisely! Cause remember you don't have to use the FPs at the time state on them. Once you don't try to use them early, there's no problem using them hours after stated on them. Something to think about (one of the many millions of bits of minutae we Disney obsessives mull over. :lmao: )

Oh no, looks like you've awoken the Disney Beast within. Sorry for going on and on and on...........
