Pre-teens and Christmas gifts

What are your pre-teens asking for?

My son is 12 and he gave me his UPdated list today...

There are 31 items (he has the total on top) and they're ALL DVDs, mostly complete first seasons of classics, which he collects.

Nothing, and I mean NOTHING else...

well all my 9 year old wants is to go a taping of Emerill live.....and guess what. Tickets are given via lottery to newsletter subscribers to foodtv.com..... so what do you think the chances of that actually happening are?

My 10 year old also wants an Ipod. Its the only thing I have left to buy...I have to drag my old lady self down to the Ipod store so they can show me what the heck an Ipod is and how I work it.

I've already got the rest of his stuff -- the Harry Potter Scene It game, a handful of DVDs and a few board games.

My DD 9 wants to go to DisneyWorld for Christmas...She has DD6 and DS2 asking for the trip too!!!

That's what we gave DS19 last year. He said it was The Best Christmas Ever!

Ipods are still the hot item. DD 14 wants the Nano in black, or course I got the white already with the 5 different color case protectors. Can't win.

DD 11, is wanting a trumpet. (She already plays flute, but wants to also play a trumpet in Jazz Band next year)

Next on her list is a 10 gallon fish tank with a PETCO gift certificate for fish.

Money for trumpet lessons.

My DD12 wants Disney pins. I will try to get some on e:bay as we are not going to WDW until next year. We are going to Disneyland Paris in two weeks. Perhaps these pins will be okay?

DD 12 ( 13 on Oct.23rd) wants a Nano ( she has the mini and loves it), the new xbox 360 , personalized nike shox, clothes from Abercrombie, custom softball glove, more lessons with her personal trainer , gym membership,

My 11 year old is dying to see Emeril also. Last year we were at Chelsea Market on a day they were taping, and I have to tell you that if I had been a person of unlimited means (and chutzpah), I would have offered someone money for their tickets! No such luck for DD however...I could only think it.

This year, she asked us a to buy tickets to three touring Broadway shows rather than "stuff" and to make a donation to the Red Cross for the Katrina/Rita victims. You could have knocked me over with a feather.

My son isn't really into music, but I think he would like a Nano, but not Shuffle. He does want some DVD's and some Xbox/Gamecube games. My son would really like a mini, so I would have to see about that. I think the nano/shuffle are too small for him, so a mini would be more appropriate as well. I went to the apple store yesterday and they do have them in as people return them or get them refurbed and go for the nano. If I wound up with the nano it would be black.

My daughter doesn't really like toys anymore, but would like some DVD's, some Gamecube games and anything from Limited Too.
