Pre-registration for meet and greets?

Is there any new information about registering for meet and greets during online check-in? I'm NOT concierge, so I haven't received any emails and I don't have anyone to contact to sign me up. Someone mentioned that pre-registering for meet and greets would be rolled out for the general public in the near future. My PIF date is in late May so I was wondering if anyone who is NOT concierge has seen an option to register for meet and greets when they do online check in. Sorry if this is confusing!

I cruised last November and all registration/tickets for the meet and greets where listed in the Navigator. Once you check-in you are usually handed a Navigator so read it carefully to determine where/when registration will take place (check your daily Navigator for other meet and greets as well). If DCL is changing meet in greet process I have not heard anything. Good luck.

It does appear that they are changing the meet and greet process. Concierge guests have received emails like the one below. It states that "very soon" they will be rolling out the opportunity for guests to pre-book the meet and greets. I sail this summer and I'm wondering what "very soon" means. My online check-in date will be in about six weeks or so. I would LOVE it if I could do this online rather than wait in the lines on board. Thanks!!

I am cruising in July, not concierge. I'm gold, and my check in date has already passed. There has been no info for meet and greet sign ups. Though I had heard the rumors of meet and greets becoming a sign up before the cruise, as of now, it looks to be just for concierge. Hope that helps

Yes, that helps quite a bit! I know from some of the chatter on the boards that concierge level can/have pre-booked meet and greets for cruises leaving over the next few weeks. It's good (?) to know that it hasn't been rolled out for the summer cruises yet. BUT, my new question/concern is how and when they will roll them out. For example, your check-in date is already passed. What if they roll pre-booking meet and greet in May? Will it be for all cruises? Even those leaving very shortly? Meaning, you would need to go back and check periodically to make sure you can book it? I wonder how they will communicate with cruisers or will they leave to those who figure it out, are "in-the-know" or who have travel agents who tell them?

Normally I wouldn't get all worked up for a vacation, but this is literally the ONE thing my daughter wants to do. She plans her (many ) costume changes around which princesses she will meet...Oy.

Actually I'm in the same "boat" in regards to the meet and greet is the ONLY thing my dd wants to do on this cruise also. Would be a total bummer if all three meet and greets (Ana and Else, princess gathering, and the Disney character breakfast) filled up before I could get tickets to it. My cruise though isnt till sept 3rd and I'm not cruising concierge (wished I was but need to save funds for the excursions we want to do).

Yup! And on the one hand, I'm glad that they are doing pre-booking at some point because that sounds better than waiting in line the first day. BUT, now I've got something else to fret over and check every five seconds. I "worry" that I will feel compelled to check every day until we are actually on the boat. Not that I'm OCD or anything...

I wouldn't worry about them filling up. If you head right to Guest Services or Port Adventures or wherever it is that they are handing out tickets, you should be able to get them. Now, if you try to go later in the evening or something, you might have a hard time, but if you make that a priority on boarding you shouldn't have a problem. Even with a later PAT. A friend of mine recently had a PAT of 1:30 and went I think around that time and had no issues getting tickets.

A friend of mine recently had a PAT of 1:30 and went I think around that time and had no issues getting tickets.

Was this a larger ship or one of the smaller ones? If it was on the Fantasy, I'm starting to feel a whole lot better on the chances of us getting our DD these tickets.

Our last cruise in jan we signed up for princess and frozen meeting as soon as we got onboard. No problem. And the girls wanted to see the princess group twice so they signed up again later in the week. Again no problem. We are platinum but never travel concierge. I hope they allow platinum to sign up ahead of time at the same time we can do exvursions. Not because I'm worried about getting in but to just get it done ahead of time.

It was on the Magic. But even so, I wouldn't worry. I would like to think that more people means more meet and greets.

I was on a sold out cruise last week on the Magic and went to the desk at 4:30pm on boarding day. I was able to get tickets to the meet and greats without a problem.
