New Group: Me again, with DH , his son John, daughter-in-law Judy, GD Linda (age 11 and ready for anything); GS1 Tommy (age 9 and not ready for anything) and GS2 Matt (age 5 and lover of all characters)
Monday April 1: The drive to Tampa proved to be very easy. I really like using Tampa as the air destination because you can avoid the horrible traffic jams going through Orlando. We made it to the airport easily in about an hour and 15 minutes. Lynns plane left at 10:30, and Spruce landed from Columbia at 10:10. The gates were directly across from each other. The ticket agent gave me a gate pass to help with the children, so I was able to meet him at the gate. A welcome respite today and most of tomorrow when his sons family arrives for a 5 day stay. We went back to WLV, where I had moved out of the 1 BR and into a studio for our one night there. I had been a little droopy with a sore throat the past 3 days, so we took the opportunity to just rest up. Our room was ready when we got there, so we took a nap. Then spent some time walking around WL, which Spruce just loves. Went over to Jiko, which I had enjoyed so much on a previous trip, and got the steak with macaroni and cheese. Spruce was sick also, with bronchitis, and I dont know if it was that, but the meal didnt seem to be as good to me as it was last time. Of course, I like my steak rare but had it medium for his sake, so it might have been cooking it longer. But neither of us was tasting food very well at that point.
