We'll Dh and I have finally decided to get married at WDW. We have six kids together and just have always had other things that seemed to take priority over a wedding. So now we figure it's time and this seems to be the best way to do it. We are having a grand gathering next Dec. with both sets of parents and possibly a couple siblings. Now we thought that we could just spring it on them the morning of. My delima is I love Sea Breeze Point and with all our kids that would put us over the eight guest max. So I was thinking maybe we could take the kids down aroung Halloween- get married and than tell them when we take the parents (by than we'de have the pics all ready). Or do I pick another location and that way we can have them attend? Can anyone sell me on the other locations? I just love the simplicity of Sea Breeze point. I think the beach would make a lovely backdrop for pics also.

You mean Sunset Pointe at the Poly? That is the only location with the very strict guest limit.

Sea Breeze Point is the large gazebo structure at the Boardwalk Inn.

To be honest, when I was first planning my wedding I wanted to get married at Sunset Pointe too. We were going to stay at the Poly and have this wonderful Hawaiian themed wedding. Unfortunately there was major re-hab going on at the Poly that year and Disney couldn't guarantee the rooms we wanted. It was important to us that our ceremony location be close to our hotel accommodations. After talking with the folks at DFTW we went with Sea Breeze Point at the Boardwalk...and I am SOOO glad I did!!

The bottom line is what is more important to you...to be married at that location or to have all your family there with you?

All of the wedding locations at Disney are beautiful!! I don't think you would be disappointed with any of them, but I know what it's like to have your heart set on something...

Maybe looking at more pictures of the other locations will help:

Wedding Pavilion (this location does cost a bit more)

Wilderness Lodge Sunrise Terrace (this location may have a guest limit as well, but not as strict as Sunset Pointe)

Yacht Club Gazebo

Sea Breeze Point at the Boardwalk

Good luck with whatever decision you make!!

Thanks, I meant Sunset Point:blush: . Sea Breeze Point is the alternative if we decide to wait until Dec. with the parents.

Did you find that you had privacy during your ceremony? I just assumed since it was on the boardwalk that you would have people walking by.

IMO while Sea Breeze Point is "open" to the boardwalk, it does retain some bit of privacy.

There is a lot of trees/shrubs/landscaping around SBP that will help keep it somewhat private. People walking by will be able to stop and see (but really they can do that at almost any location except the WP) but they won't be able to hear anything.
