pre-park opening photos at MK

For our trip in May, I was able to snag a 8:10 reservation for CP. We have done rope drop before, but never been in the park before it opened.

I am really just excited to get the elusive near empty park photos. I'm assuming there are photopass photographers and I'm guessing they will use my camera to snap a few shots as well? Are these assumptions correct? Is there anything I "need to know" about our reservation or how the entrance to the park works?

Anyone wanna share their pre-park opening photos?

Yes to all of that. PP should be out and happy to take photos with their cameras as well as yours.

When you enter, there will be a rush of people all at once. Don't hesitate to linger and let most of them pass. Also, stop at some as you enter, but also go up closer to the castle.

They will likely let you enter around ten minutes before park opening. There's a separate line for breakfast reservations. I imagine with BOG now offering breakfast, there are a lot more people entering. Just be patient and let them pass.

Awesome. I *think* the park opens at 9am that day, so will there be a rush of people at 8 for reservations similar to the rope drop rush? Also, what time would you suggest I get there if we want to snap a few photos?

Sorry my comment wasn't accurate. I said 10 minutes before park open. I meant 10 minutes before the top of the hour. That's 7:50, regardless of park open. ADRs start at 8 (or 8:05???). If the park opens at 9, they let the early ADR people in at 7:50 (give or take a few minutes). If the park opens at 8, they still let you in at 7:50 (give or take).

Anyone with a pre-park opening ADR will likely be going in all at once. They don't hold back the 8:30 people until all the 8:15 people have arrived, for example. It's generally a fairly small rush of people, but I can't say what it is like now that BOG has upped the numbers.

I would try to be at the gate by 7:30 or 7:40 at the latest.
