My husband and I have pre park open ADRs for breakfast at BOG in September. We do not plan on any attractions. Just want to stroll down main street and take some pictures on the way to breakfast.

Are we missing anything fun about rope drop? Is there a "show" or something interesting going on?

Getting to the MK (or any park) early is a once every few years thing so want to make the best decision for that morning.

You said ADR's plural. Do you have more than one PPO? If yes, do one PPO and one RD for the welcome show.

For MK yes there is an opening rope drop show usually featuring the MK train with a bunch of disney characters coming out.

I do like the MK opening show that takes place in front of the RR track up at the train station, but otherwise I hate rope drop. That squeezed in crowd makes me uncomfortable, and my kids do not like standing around waiting for that long before we've even gotten into the park. If we were going to do an early morning, I think we'd be in a much better frame of mind with the ADR.

Also, if you want that leisurely stroll up Main Street, rope drop is not that.

ops...I have two bog ADRs each for 1! Just one day. Think I will keep breakfast and skip the show. Sounds like rope drop might not give me the relaxing morning I am hoping for :)

The Good Morning show in front of the RD station can be fun, once, if you don't mind being wedged in a huge crowd. But there nothing fun about the actual RD. And if you try to stroll down Main Street, you'll be trampled by the hordes heading to their first ride. If you want to enjoy the scenery, go with the PPO ADR.
