Pre-Order PhotoPass $99 Deal - Gone

I am looking at that CD charge in my cart and am so irritated right now! I need to be paying 99.00!!! I just can't justify it otherwise!

Just so I have this right, the $99 deal is only if you preorder the CD before the trip?? What if you don't love the pictures? Anyone regret pre-ordering? Leave a week from Tues and wondering if I should do the pre-order, thanks.

We don't normally by any photopass photos. Summer '08 we decided to by the CD for $99 before we left. We searched out photo pass opportunities and took advantage of one "bored" photographer at Blizzard Beach who spent about 20 minutes with us snapping all kinds of pictures of our DD in the Tikes Peak area. We ended up with over 300 photos on the CD. As a side note, we purchased our photo at the Luau, and they were able to add those shots to the CD as well (but we did have to purchase the luau photo, it was not part of the $99).

We may do it again in a few years if the $99 stays available. I hear the photographers are no longer at the water parks.

They were at the water parks when we were there in August. We like getting photo pass cards there because they are plastic and on a wrist band. We then use them at all the parks.

I just wanted to bump this up to confirm that you can, indeed, get the $50 discount code by calling Photopass directly. (The number is on their website.) Your reservation needs to be within 10 days and you will need to provide your reservation number. They will give you a code that you can enter when your order the CD. You do not need to pre-order. I was told to order it when I returned from my trip.

The woman I spoke to was very nice and there was no hassle. It was a quick and easy process.

I spoke with a cm yesterday who gave me a code over the phone for after the trip. I think that's better so i can see if I like the pictures first and not need to pre-buy.

Did you call MS?

I called Photopass

You can get those nifty small photopass cards on a wristband when visiting Tink and her friends, too!

I called Photopass and got the code for $50 off the cd. No problem whatsoever. Hope you all have a great Thanksgiving!!!

I called Photopass this am. As of YESTERDAY you can no longer get the code via Photopass. The cm I spoke with, Michelle, insisted that it had to be done pre-trip. She said it was now handled by MS. I am already on my trip so she didn't know if I would qualify.

So, I called MS. The cm didn't know anything about photopass. But, she checked- and yes indeed, MS will now email you your code. She didn't f
give me any grief about already being on my stay. But in the future, I'd be sure to call ahead. She said my code would be emailed within 24 hours. :)

I happened to call them this morning, they made me call over to dvc member services, but i received same info as above and already got the code, it was easy!

I have never used the Disney photo pass and have pretty much avoided the photographers at all cost. However, during our last trip, we thought it might be nice to have someone take our photo. So, with that said, I come to this thread with less knowledge than most.

How much does the CD cost without the discount?

You don't want to know!!! 149.99 BUT if you did judt take one you can buy a download for just one!

So, it is 150 just for a CD of photos? If you take 25 posed photos with their photographers during your trip, they charge you 6 dollars apiece? That doesn't sound right at all. Even if I took 100 photos, I think it is a bit much just for a CD, but maybe I am just too cheap. There is always some nice person who will take your camera and shoot a photo for you, so I am not sure the photo pass would make sense unless it was discounted heavily. I think 100 is too much, but I would consider it at that point --- but I would definitely make sure I absolutely PACKED with photos.

You have to go visit the site. There are borders and such you can add to your pix and once you own the CD you can do whatever you want and order whatever you want...from where ever you want! LOL

You are correct in thinking it is a bit on the expensive side, but if you are going to have some pictures taken like the OP stated, check out the website! (After all, it is Disney!:lmao:)You can add some fun things to your pictures, plus if you order from Disney, it costs 12.95/5X7! If you order the CD, you can have your pictures printed anywhere.
