Pre-Order PhotoPass $99 Deal - Gone

Not to flog a dead horse... but I called PhotoPass today and they said that now you need to call member services 10 days prior to your trip in order to MAYBE get a discount. The person I spoke to at PhotoPass was actually not all that polite.

I called the number and was told that the email would be coming between 45 and 10 days before our arrival. Guess I'm just going to have to wait and see....

Yes that is funny because that is the same message I got from Photopass when I contacted them. Unfortunately as I stated to them, I was leaving the next day. They were going to expedite it and get it right to me. I have now returned from WDW and I am still waiting on that e-mail! They have lost this customer.
 
Have any DVC members had any luck lately? We are 3 weeks out and I am not sure who I should call. Anybody have an update?
 
Not sure why they could not just put a spot on the members only site to order the pre-purchase discount. They would not have to worry about sending e-mails that way. It would not be good for renters but it would be a nice perk for DVC owners.

I think that is a GREAT idea!!!

I agree, for those members that want the Photopass, it would be a simple solution. But DVC/Disney rarely does things the simplest way.
 
I had to call member services yesterday about my res and asked about photopass and they knew nothing and had nothing. He even talked to a supervisor. I was really hoping to be able to get the offer. I don't know if it is going to happen.
 
Just called Photopass and was told that I should call back 10 days from my arrival date. They would then be able to give me a comparable offer. So, I'll be calling November 14th to see what happens. Until then, :rolleyes1
 
On Monday I called Disney Destinations to confirm some information on my reservation for later this month. They asked for my e-mail address to update my info and yesterday i got an e-mail from them regarding my upcoming vacation and it had the link at the bottom of the page for the photopass. If you do have an upcoming reservation that was made with Disney Destinations i would confirm that they do have your e-mail address on file. I am also a DVC member which i thought would automatically get the discount but that's not the case.

She asked for my reservation number and asked if I had account created for the Disney Photopass. I gave her both piece of information and she asked me to hold while she got a discount code for me. She provided me the code which is for $50 off the cd price. She briefly mentioned that they are trying to resolve the issue for DVC members.

Just so I have this right, the $99 deal is only if you preorder the CD before the trip?? What if you don't love the pictures? Anyone regret pre-ordering? Leave a week from Tues and wondering if I should do the pre-order, thanks.

Well...I didn't do the pre-order this last time and spent $74 on 6 5X7's and a mousepad with a 40% coupon! You be the judge! Last year I got over a hundred pictures with the CD!
 
I think the CD is well worth the money ($99) especially when you make it a point to find the photographers and have them take several shots. Last year we had close to 400 pictures (although @ 100 of them were of my nieces at the BBB) and the majority of them were fantastic. It was tough for me to decide which to use for our Christmas card.

I am glad to hear that the photopass group is looking to resolve the discount issue for DVC members.
 
Just called today as well. Got the code and was told it is to be used after my trip and not to preorder.
 
I just called AGAIN and was told that this offer does not go out to everyone. I asked to have a supervisor call me back. She took my info to have a super call me, then told me that I would have had to call before my vacation. I said I did. How many times to you have to call over there to get the right CM or employee on the phone??? Is there a magic word i should use? This is just ridiculous!!!:mad:
 
I just got a call back from a supervisor- who was wonderful, by the way- who then emailed me the code. Soo...the moral of the story is- don't take no for an answer, ask to speak to the boss. :goodvibes

I called yesterday. Told the nice man on the phone that I was a DVC member and heard I could get a code for the prepaid CD. He needed my reservation number and then he gave me a code for $50 off the CD. He said I do not need to preorder it, just use the code when I go to order.

It was very easy and he was very nice!
