Pre-opening DL breakfast reservation

One of our favorite things to do at WDW is to book a pre-opening breakfast and enjoy the sights and photo ops that a nearly empty Main Street provides as we walk to our breakfast.

I'm wondering if our 8:10 breakfast at Carnation Cafe on a Sunday morning with a posted 9:00 opening time will offer the same or similar experience.
If I understand correctly, there will not be EMH that at DL on that day.

Thoughts?

Also, I welcome any other tips, advice or dining recommendations. This is my first trip to DL since 1975!

I always thought park restaurants opened 10minutes after the park opened.

Ohhhhhh. In double checking, I think I see my mistake. I booked an 8:10 breakfast on Sunday, Oct. 8. I figured the park opened at 9 since that's the posted opening time for Sundays in Sept. it's not a posted time after all. My mistake.
So, based on your comment, im guessing the opening time will be 8 that day. (?)

There isn't much that you can get to pre-rope drop anyway. Really just Main St.

You can do an hour pre-park opening breakfast on MM days at DL at the Plaza Inn for Minnie's breakfast. You can book a 7:10 for an 8:00 opening, but they will let you in the character breakfast line right at 7:00 when they let everyone else in for MM. So it's not as good as a pre park opening meal at Crystal Palace, but it's as close as you can get at DL.
