Does anyone know yet, with the new simplified arrival (on line check-in) where we bypass the front desk... On the morning of our package arrival date we used to have to go to the check in resort, go to the front desk, sign paperwork, house our luggage yada yada.....THEN our park passes/Magic Bands would be activated to work for entry into the park. Per the Disney learn more about online check in, it does state that we will be able to use our magic bands to access resort amenities, like the pool, or CL (if applicable) and the Disney Dining Plan (what the what??)

Will we also be able to head to our scheduled park that day? I find the wording around that a bit confusing:

"In addition to using the active MagicBands and Key to the World Cards to unlock doors at your Disney Resort hotel, you will need a MagicBand or card for the following, if applicable:

Park admission
FastPass+ experiences
Extra Magic Hours
Room charges
Dining plan meal redemption"

It doesn't indicate that it is automatic. So instead of me calling and getting an uninformed CM, can someone let me know if they are also in this type of situation and how it works?

My check in day park is Animal Kingdom, which opens at 8am, so I don't really want to have all that hassle of breakfast, check out, head to Contemporary, check bags, then get my family over to AK. by rope drop (per se) :crazy2:

I think that's all been automatic for a while now - at least for the majority of people who did online check-in. Most folks receive a text with the room number and never stop at the front desk. If there is any issue and you need to go to the front desk, it can be done later after you to to the park.

Really?? Ugh, we always fly in a day early and never knew this. I was there for a week last August and did the whole morning rush!! 😵😵😵
Thank you for the update,!!
