When I lived in MI last year, Gordon's Foods (kind of like a Sam's Club without membership) had boxes of cookie dough already cut into "holiday" shapes (some were very board like stars and trees and some were very Christmas specific with Santa and such). I'd like to buy a couple of boxes this year to make so the kid's can decorate them at our Christmas party for them instead of having to make all of the cookies. Anyone seen these anywhere else??? I looked at Sam's this weekend and didn't see any-think it's just too early??

TIA!! :goodvibes

Does your kids school do Market day? That's where I get mine every year (just picked it up last night as a matter of fact). If not your school, you can still order from Market Day if there is another school around you that uses it. Just do a search on their website.

I believe the cost was $14 for 3 dozen, maybe a little higher than if you found it at a grocery store but it helps out our school so I don't mind. Also this is the 3rd year I've ordered them and they are truly delicious! All you do is pop them in the oven, it even comes w/ icing.

Last year I ended needing more than I thought so ran to out local grocery store (pick n save) and found some but they were not nearly as good. They stuck together which ruined the shapes as I was tryping to pull them apart and tasted very bland (like they used to much flour).

Hope this helps, good luck in your search! :goodvibes

I've used the Market Day ones too. Darn tasty!

I just saw several kinds at Target this morning. It's down by the milk, egg nog, and yogurt.

I say several kinds -- I think they were by the same company but some were tree shape, some were snowmen shape, etc.

They might have been pilsbury brand but I am not positive on that.

They were NOT with the other kinds of cookie dough. That's in a different section.

I get the ones at the grocery store, pilsbury or betty crocker any way they are great. In fact they taste better than the ones I rolled out before. Plus since I don't have to make dough and roll it our to an even thickness makeing sure not to use to much flour to stop sticking.....yadda yadda yadda, I make even more cookies because I only have to invest the time to ice them.

I love the ones from Market Day and now they come with the frosting. You can't beat that. I buy these every year and everyone loves them. You can also order them online.

I got ones from the grocery store lst year - Pillsbury I think. They had the sheets of dough already rolled out, I just used my cookie cutters on them, baked and iced. They tasted great and were sooooo easy. Don't know if I'll go back to my own again. (I'm not a huge sugar cookie fan, but they're just so pretty.) Not sure if you're describing ones that were already baked.

I get the Pillsbury ones, they have sheets of sugar cookie dough so you can use your own cutters and they have them pre-cut as well. Altho this year we may go ahead and make it ourselves.......
