Pre-Disney Hotel Stay

Hey all. We're planning to drive to our WDW vacation from NYC. What we want to do is maybe get to the Disney/Orlando area the night before our resort check-in day so that we we'll have the full day to enjoy the Dis.

Has anyone done this? Do you have any recommendations for a close and/or someone inexpensive one night day?
