Pre COVID Fastpass question for onsite guests

I have park reservations starting August 15th AND reservations at the Swan through a third party booking site: Hotels.com.

IF fastpass+ returns identical to pre-COVID times, how would I have been able to book fastpasses at the 60 day mark instead of the 30 day mark (the benefit for staying onsite)? Was the 60 day mark benefit only if you booked directly through Disney?

I want my (Donald)ducks in a row just in case the fastpass option gets sprung on us sometime soon...

Thanks!

You can still link your reservation to your MDE account and get all the same on-site benefits.

I entered my confirmation number from Hotels.com and that did not work.
I once booked a stay at Pop through Expedia (for some reason it was available through them but not Disney)
I had to contact Expedia to get the Disney confirmation number. The Expedia (Or hotels.com) confirmation number is for them, not for Disney. You just have to say that you need the Disney confirmation number to be able to link to your tickets and they should know what that means.

There are usually two different confirmation numbers, one from the site you used for booking and one Disney number. I had the same issue a number of years ago and had to call for the Disney number.
