You know when they were banning people for 10 years, I got the idea that they were planning to be here ten years from now to still be banning them. LOL

I thouht I missed something when the reason of the 50th celebration was given. I never remembered seeing that anywhere. I can remember first seeing the talk about vmk on my Magical Express bus after leaving Disneyworld in 2005 or 2006 and I don't remember seeing anything in the video promotion about disneyland's 50th year celebration.
(sadly, I never joined the vmk site until last summer 2007 ... I missed alot of time with you all)

Yes, I agree. Something must have happened, as others are speculating. Maybe, indeed, a contract not renewed or equipment that can't keep up....

I am most upset with the fact that VMK was never postioned as a "temporary" game. It is ridiculous that they are now trying to make it seem as if this was always the case. Who is to say that Pirates or Toontown or any of these other "NEW VIRTUAL WORLDS" will last longer than the whims of the designer or corporates. I guess we all just have to be careful and warn our children not to get too wrapped up in any of Disney's online games as we never know when they will decide to just shut it down. This experience has made me lose faith in Disney's online internet group.
