Gosh guys, thank you so much for all the kind words. There are tons of people on this board losing loved ones and missing loved ones everyday and I feel bad for taking so much time out of everyones lives just for my ordeal, but you really have made me feel so thought of and I truly appreciate it.

My mind is just racing, so much to think about. What do I tell my girls? They knew something was up yesterday when they got to the hospital and weren't allowed to see their Poppy. If I should get a call that says come right away, should I pick them up first? I wouldn't want them to see him if he is in really bad shape but I would like them to be able to say goodbye if it came to that. I just don't know.

Thanks again everyone, I appreciate it. He was going to try to get to sleep early tonight so my grandmother suggested trying to visit tomorrow instead of today.

The oncologist said that while the lung cancer isn't easy, he thinks it is something he can get my grandfather under control with. But he says that's where his part unfortunately is done. The breathing problems he believes has to do with his heart. He is seeing a heart specialist but I just don't know. They are VERY concerned about it.

My grandmother did take the nurse from last night advice seriously... she contacted their lawyer today to make sure the wills were in order. I can't tell you how scary that is.

I did have to break my girls heart today by telling them that I couldn't find anyone to go to their big Grandparents Day celebration at school tomorrow. I spoke with both of their teachers and they assure me my girls won't be the only ones and they have something special planned for them. My older daughter was more upset then my younger... I felt so bad. And to make matters worse, my younger daughter has the biggest "part" tomorrow at church and during their concert. Parents are simply not allowed to attend which I can understand. I really should be home on as much bed rest as I can be and I will have my ds at home so I wouldn't be able to make it anyway. They are still too young to really understand the "idea" that no one is available to be their guests tomorrow, I really hope they do make them feel as special tomorrow... I considered keeping them home in the morning but the teachers are urging me to go ahead and bring them in.

My grandparents also raised me. I lost my grandfather when I was 13. And my grandmother is slowly fading away. It is a terrible feeling, being so helpless. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

Update -

He isn't going to make it through the night. He is already on a very high dose of morphine. I called my husband and he is already on his way home and then my little sister and I will be going to the hospital. I am so scared right now. SOOO scared.
