Prayers Please - Friends DH having surgery for Brain Tumor Today (Update pg. 2)

My friends DH is having surgery today to remove a tumor in his brain. Drs. think it is entwined in some major blood vessels. They also think it may be the fast growing type. After they remove it they will be able to tell them whether it is malignant or not. Drs. just discovered it in the last week, so it has been quite a week for them.

He is only 34 and just returned from full time active duty in the National Guards. They have 2 little girls (4 & 7) that are very worried about their Daddy going to the hospital, so if you could, please say a prayer for him, his surgeon and his family. I know what prayers can do here on the DIS!!!!

Jesus still heals today even though a lot of people can't imagine him doing such miracles. I have actually seen so many in people's lives and believing is the first step. I will certainly pray tonight.

Prayers for your friend's husband and his family. A lady I worked with at the hospital a few years back had brain surgery for a tumor...and repeat surgery. She's doing well!

Keep those prayers coming. I just talked to my friends Mom and she said they took him into surgery a little after 5 this evening and it would last 4 - 6 hours. I probably won't hear anymore now until morning.

Just heard from my friends Mom again - the surgery didn't go the best. The tumor was like fingers stretching into many different parts of his brain and they aren't sure yet what all has been affected by removing it. They do know that he can not move his right arm. It was also wrapped around his brain stem and could effect his ability to breath on his own. It is now just a waiting game to see what was affected. He is still going to have to have chemo and radiation, they weren't sure they were able to get it all.
