I pray that your brother will have a wonderful cruise with you & your family in September. Unfortunantly I can relate to what you are going thru. My MIL's colon cancer moved on to stage four 2 months ago and they have found a new growth since her surgery a month ago. The doctors don't believe that chemo is helping her, even though it is being so hard on her. We keep praying that they are wrong & she will be able to come with us on the 12/4/04 cruise.
hughiedeweylouie, your post really touched me. We know that if she does live to join us on the cruise, we wont have her with us much longer. You give me hope that we will be able to look past that fact on the ship and just be a family, making beautiful memories for the kids and all of us to keep.

to you and your family. I admire David's spirit for knowing that he will make it to that cruise! That strength and determined attitude will help him greatly, I am sure. And Disney parks and/or cruise do have a wonderful way of lifting our spirits when times are hard. I'm still not sure why it works that way, but it's true. Having that big family event (the cruise) to look forward to and enjoy is really a blessing. Every day is special and a gift, of course; but I also believe that folks are inspired by having something "Magical" to look forward to.
