My brother, David, apparently has cancer, and the DR's think it is in the pancreas. It has spread to the bones, which is not good news. His first words to me after the diagnosis " I WILL go on our Magic cruise on 9/25." He's only 46, and has a wife and 20 year old son. Please keep them, and my parents in your prayers. Thanks so much.

How odd you write about David and I happen to be checking the board today. Normally I don't open the non-cruise related threads.
In less than a week my two children and I sail on the Magic.
Five years ago there were four of us. My husband also had pancreatic cancer. He also wanted to make Christmas special for us so we went on a Disney Cruise. Although he was weak, the cruise was perfect because he could do a little with us and then go nap. I remember sitting in the hot tub with him and Goofy came over and stole his towel. For a few days we forgot about cancer and laughed and laughed. My husband said to me, "You'd have to be an idiot not to have fun here."
I will pray hard for you, David, and his family. That you find the peace that passes all understanding as you go through one of life's hardest trials.

Ann, as I read your remarks my eyes filled with tears as I felt your pain and joy ! What a beautiful gift your husband gave to you and your children that Christmas ! And he really summed it all up with his remarks ...there are too many "idiots" that complain about the most trivial things in regards to DCL. We should all be thankful just to be cruising !!
