Prayers for my niece please

My Sister took my Niece to the Doctor this morning because she has a fever. While they were there they found a heart murmur.

She has an echocardiogram scheduled a week from Wednesday and then an appointment with a Cardiologist. They said it could be something like a heart defect or it could be something she grows out of.

If you could say a prayer for my Niece, Sophi, who is 1. And for my Sister for strength. She is going through a lot right now (divorce) and things just keep piling up.

She is in my prayers. I have a heart murmur as well. Am now 31 & was diagnosed in grade school. Never been an issue. I get echo's & heart ultrasounds every 3 years to monitor it.

Hopefully that's all it will be for your niece.

I was born with a heart murmur and grew out of it when I was around 13. The only thing I had to do was take medication before every dentist appt. She's in my thoughts.

Our kids have benign murmurs. The one thing the cardiologist said was that the murmur would be more pronounced when they were sick. Maybe that's what happened with Sophie. Keep us posted.

Many prayers for your sister and niece...Finding out that your little one has a heart murmur is a very scary thing. We found out when our DD, now 14 yrs. old, was only 2 weeks that she had a VSD. She was monitored and had surgery to close the hole when she was almost 5 and hasn't looked back! She is a beautiful, healthy teenager getting ready to start high school. We didn't realize how the condition was affecting her. My mom was also diagonosed with an ASD when she was a teen and she had surgery to close it in Dec. in 1999. She has never felt better!

I'm sure your niece is going to be just fine!
