Would your dd happen to post on the TB? I just noticed a post from someone in Wisconsin mentioning that their friend's mom died and I thought it might be the same family.

Yes that is my dd...she is devastated...such a shock for the whole town.. DD and DH just had dinner with them a few weeks ago after a volleyball game.
To the pp who asked if there were other underlying conditions....to be honest I really don't know...I just know that she went in to the dr not feeling well and it escalated to this.
Thanks for the prayers everyone...I will pass them on.

Thank you everyone for your thoughts and prayers. It's going to be a rough next few weeks for everyone here. But they have a HUGE support system and they'll get through this.
I am so sorry to hear of Debbie's passing. how traumatic for her family and friends. Prayers for them for strength and comfort.
I spoke to my sister last night and one of her employees was in University of Maryland hospital in similar condition. Lori is her name and things were looking very precarious for her.
It is shocking how quickly and intensly complications can arise. Thank you for the updates. So sorry for the loss of your friend.
OMG how sad. A child in the prime of her life is now gone.
It makes me upset when I hear of the H1N1 parties that people are having. I hope that their kids to not end up paying the ultimate price for their parents decision.

And a separate question: did anyone get their kids the H1N1 flu shot? My DD wanted to get one so I called my pediatrician for his advice and he was adamantly against the shots and cited his reasons and concerns, which I passed on to my DD who went and got the shot anyway. The nurses who were administering the shots at the school she goes to handed out leaflets that just smacked of propaganda. I'm not being judgmental, please don't misconstrue what I just said, but I'm wondering what if any complications I should be watching for. For the record, I did not get the shot for my son and don't plan to. The flu's in his high school right now as well as the adjacent grade school, and it's not like the kids are dropping like flies right now, but I'm trying not to over/under react.
I am so sorry for this family's loss. It has become so hard to read and post on these threads, yet I do because I truly want to pray for them and keep them in my heart.
I saw that on the news last night and tried to get on to post condolences, but the boards were down. One thing I don't understand is why did they move her to Mayo?

HI...she started out just going to the clinic here in Hudson, then sent her to the ER (In same building) they then sent her by ambulance to Regions...From there they were apparently going to send her on to U of M, but sent her by helicopter instead down to Mayo...she ended getting a double heart bypass at Mayo, so maybe it was too risky of a procedure to do at Regions? We've only been here 2 years, so I don't know what hospital has what capabilities.
And apparently there were no known underlying issues that caused her death.
The visitation is tomorrow and the funeral on Saturday....I think there is going to be a huge turnout...
