Hello,

We are dog-sitting a Cairn Terrier named Jackie. Somehow tonight, he disappeared between about 5 and 6:30. We have no idea where or when he got out and it's not like him to go outside, even if the door is standing open. I am looking after this dog for a dear friend of mine and this dog is her whole life. I am absolutely sick at the thought of her losing him.

Please take just a tiny moment to say a little prayer or send some pixie dust my way. I just have to find this dog.

Thanks,

Beth :sad1: :sad1:

Awww...lots of pixie dust for you. How sick you must be with worry. I hope all is well and the dog finds his way back.

Just a thought, but my friend had a new kitten for her kids for Christmas and the following day they could not find it for hours, I mean like 6 hours. The whole family was crying and moping all day thinking the poor thing got outside and was gone forever.

Well I went over there to help her search the house as I know they like to hide especially in new surroundings. After an hour searching, she remembered the little alcove under her platform bed and sure enough thats where he was. So maybe dogs do this too?

Not sure how big the dog is but could this be a possibility?
Don't know how far you are from your friend, but is it possible if he got out that he found his way home?

Keep us updated on this, and try not to fret too much, dogs are good at finding their way back.

WE FOUND JACKIE!!!!

He was stuck behind the "spare socks" laundry hamper under my dressing table. He didn't make a peep! Thanks everyone! :) Now I can sleep tonight.
