My dh is going in for Mohs surgery today, which is a removal of squamous and basal skin cancer cells. It's a two day procedure, so he has to go back tomorrow for the stitches. He is already a melanoma survivor. If you could please send some positive thoughts our way that ALL of the cancer cells can be successfully removed today, I would appreciate it. Thanks.

Sure, prayers and pixie dust sent to both of you :grouphug:.

More :wizard: being sent.

Just curious....why is it a two-day procedure? Mine was all done within a couple of hours.

Thanks to everyone.

Dh will get a high pressure bandage to wear today when he leaves. If there is swelling, they want to give time for the swelling to go down before doing stitches. He goes back to get stitches tomorrow.

I hope that his procedure is only a few hours. It depends on how many layers of skin they have to remove.

Update--Everything went well! All of the cancerous cells have been removed. Dh is feeling fine. Thank you for the well wishes. :goodvibes

Best wishes that they got all of those bad cells & that they never come back.pixiedust:

That's great news, Kelly! Glad that all went well. :goodvibes

Thank the Lord! There's been so much sad news on the DIS. I'm so happy that everything went well.
