I completed treatment for breast cancer in July and hoped my battle was over for a little while, anyway. Monday I had mammograms which were OK, but when I mentioned I'd been having a dull ache in the other breast, an awesome radiologist ordered an ultrasound. They found a small area of concern (looks just like the original tumor) which I'm having biopsied this morning. I've already heard from both my surgeon and oncologist who say it looks worriesome. (The ultrasound tech began to cry when the radiologist left the room and people who greeted me warmly on the way in were curiously quiet and "busy" when I left - not good signs).

I'm hoping it's nothing. I do believe in the power of prayer. Thank you in advance.

Goodluck, I hope it turns out to be nothing worrisome. I am glad you spoke up though.

It sounds like what my ex-sil had at one time. She freaked because breast cancer runs in her family. They did the needle biopsy and everything and decided to do a lumpectomy and biopsy. Turns out it wasn't cancer at all, just some sort of tissue inflamation.

My MIL went through this about 5 years ago. She had one breast removed beause of the cancer and then started having aches/pains in the other. They ran some tests and determined she had some sort of cyst, which ended up going away on its own. Keeping you in my thoughts and prayers!

Try not to read too much into what the staff were doing when you left and I think that's awful that the technician cried in front of you.She is not trained to diagnose or make any indication of her opinion which is all it would be!

There are all kinds of other things that it could still be other than the most ominous.I have said a prayer and please try to think only positive thoughts! We are!

Thinking of you and praying for a good update soon.

Please keep us updated.

Sending Prayers your way and Gods Blessings to you. Sending :sunny: thoughts.

Sending many prayers and hugs to you.

Many in family are breast cancer SURVIVORS, so I know what you are going through, keep in mind, the earlier the detection the better the chances of fighting it are. Since you pointed this out before it was "found" it may be your biggest blessing.

 Will be waiting anxiously to hear good news! ::yes::

I hope you told the oncologist what he saw was just a hidden Mickey.:p  I'll say a prayer for you. Please keep us updated.

First of all, I'll be praying that it turns out to be nothing. Unfortunately, this will haunt you for the rest of your life. Since I had my mastectomy 20 years ago, I've had 3 biopsies on my other breast. I dread going in for my mammogram each year. Even though the biopsies have turned out well, having to have surgery is no fun. Once you've had cancer, you and your doctor will be so sensitive to every little change. If I had to do it over again, I'd have had a double mastectomy so that I could stop worrying and having to deal with this sort of thing. You will be in my thoughts.
